Benny is not only a master he is also one of the finest human beings you will ever come across. I took a vacation to California to visit my brother several years ago and by chance drove by his gym The Jet Center. Recognizing it from my subscription to Black Belt magazine I instantly pulled over and went in. A secretary told me Benny was at the restaurant next door eating lunch and that I should go see him there.I told the secretary I did not want to disturb his lunch but he insisted I go, that Benny always has time for his fans. When I walked in the restaurant and our eyes met he instantly stood up shook my hand and introduced himself. He then insisted on leaving his meal to take me to the Jet Center and show me around. We than talked for several minutes and even took a picture with me squaring off with him in his boxing ring. After I returned home to Washington state my brother sent me the picture all blown up. To my utter surprise my brother had gone back to Benny's gym and had the photo autographed " Tom, Keep training hard. Your friend, Benny Urquidez" I will never forget the mans humility and kindness, he is a true Master in every sense of the word.
Você é um cara que tem muita sabedoria você foi sem todos os pontos de crime que ela faz distorcida você vai direto você é um cara muito inteligente por isso que eu queria dizer gostei dos seus vídeos que você vai direto
What a generous heart...I am not into fighting sports but was curious about him because he seemed to have a very respectful attitude during his career and I was right.
I am perhaps one of the lucky one so say that I had the privilege of being next to, talked to and train with this GREAT WARRIOR and a FANTASTIC MAN so call BENNY THE JET , thank you Benny for being a great fighter, a True Master and Mentor, but most of all, thank you for all what you had giving us throughout the years though leadership and Love. Thank you always for your kind words and advices, may God bless you always!!!
This man's heart is so pure. Like who wouldnt love this guy to be their grandfather and have the privilege of listening to his stories and life experiences and wisdom. I could listen to this man all day
Huge respect for The Master. I am Beney's fan. I always listen him and see his fights at youtube. I hope sometime i will meet him and shake hand. Beautiful human being. Love and Respect.
What a joy it is to hear his stories and watch him in the movies :D I hope he lives to be a 100 years old, he has a beautiful heart and so much knowledge to share :)
I met Benny at the UK Martial Arts Show Doncaster 2019 really nice guy very pleasant having accepted a gift from myself on behalf of my karate club his name on an engraved pen he was truly delighted to receive it.
Oh yes this man. Forgive my ignorance. Only now did I know his name is Benny. I have been watching Jackie Chan movies since I was very young and I have always seen him in the movies as the "bad guy" character. Al I know is whenever I see him in movies, I know this character is going to be very difficult to deal with. Thank you for your roles in the movies. It has always been very real and interesting to watch the fight scene.
He is Amazing. She is not so good at interviewing. She was unprepared but tried to pull it off. Not bad. Sensei Urquidez is a true master and working for the betterment of society.
Benny Urqidez was a great martial arts champion, but the fight scene in " Meals on Wheels " movie shine more than anything else in his whole career. Hope Urqidez had more thrilling fight movies like Wheels on Meals with Jackie chan and others.
Benny was a superior fighter in any ring, the reason why ? The man used tactics and skill, when he talks about his fights . He searches and feels what his opponents are all about. And then he uses his "axe" to chop you down bit by bit. Man is a legend in his own right
Terrific interview but what was with the short-shorts? Even though she was leggy. :) Looked like she wasn't wearing a thing waist down. LA. Beeny's always so earthy. Never got became some Hollywood douche...having done several films. Worked with some a-listers helping choreograph their fight scenes. He's always respectful of the guys he's worked with. E.g. Jackie Chan. HK filming. Very "Kamakaze style". As Benny said they don't pull their punches. Which I'd think Jackie would hae done working with a then still champion? Or had Benny retired already? SHrug. Benny still has his movies in muscle memory and likely kept training as hard as he did when he was fighting. Piss off Benny and he'd go for real and kill Chan. Never lost his cool. :) I hae the utmost respect for Benny. As a true martial artist/ex-world champion pro fighter. He was a true world champion as he did fight around the world. Don't think Bill Wallace did that nor Joe Lewis.
(Assuming this IS Benny's own channel) You were so cool about taking hits from Jackie Chan. I would have made sure I DIDN'T touch you knowing what you could (and still could today) do. I don't think too many ex-world champions would let themselves be tagged. For a film or not. Gets me how these martial arts films stars hired real fighters like you and Bill Wallace to be in their films and to "die" to an actor. For the film. Actors who never stepped into the ring. weren't really "fighters" but just MA's. We know these guys would never have a chance if it got real. :) But it was a good idea to get ex-pro fighters to star in their films as bad guys. Bruce did it. Force Five....classic MA film. one of the few films featuring a few actual kickboxing champions and a forms champion. IIRC Lewis's character had to fight Bong Soo Han at the end. A MA master...whom I don't think ever competed either. Or at least wasn't an ex-champion.
God interview/clip. But what's with the leggy model looking host?? :) Not complaining but for a martial arts interview??? Short shorts to show off her long legs...Ummm...Done in LA I bet...
