I was born in 1969, so as a kid just as today, you were and still are one of my hero's and served as one of my primary inspirations as a young Kickboxer. (Yourself, Kathy Long, Jean Eve Therialt, and Don "The Dragon" Wilson were the people that I watched and inspired me.). As a Professor of Exercise Physiology, I can strongly endorse and recommend The Jet's latest RU-vid teaching in this video. Benny presents both forward and retreating uses of the ball kick. Also noteworthy is the use of distance, commonly discussed by the Jeet Kune Do community. Close in, the fighter can use a switch/ball kick combo. The other kicks can be used in intermediate distances (Kudos to Roy Kurban for excellent front kick techniques and teaching). Skip and drag ball kick for longer uses. I remember Ash from those videos he did for World Martial Arts Information Center! That #2-#3 side kick combo he covered was really hard to pull off, though....
i think it was 1974 or 75 in Oceanside Calif, an ED PARKER open Competition, or Mrs. Parker's Depending on who i asked, i think it was 1974, i Saw Benny kick Butt and he kissed the girl and took his Trophy for 1st Place , people were in the restroom washing blood from their faces joking about it was a ''Simi Full Contact Competition'' LMAO. I just started Kenpo so i didn't participate and was working the Door checking tickets etc. but it was educational watching all the different levels fight and different styles , the BKF was there etc. Great memories never forget the good time and those hard workouts in the Kenpo School.

jjet awesome great fighter and teacher always liked him . and endurance man and tuff tuff . i still like all the stand up stuff . cause can practice by your self any time ...and practice all foul tec's for the ground fighter eyes throat and self defence . and so on . but love this art of it awesome to the jet still going
