Spencer Paulson My God, you're stupid! I clicked on a video via Facebook that a co-worker said was great, so I checked it out. Are you really that myopic that you haven't heard of other methods of ending up at a RU-vid video? Jackass idiot.
True. The song writing is AMAZING. Buddy, the one that does the vocals, was like 18 and 19 when they started songs like this. Btw, if only people knew what REAL emo is. It’s not about being whiny and depressed, that’s for sure. ^.^ It is about music like what these guys performed, and also bands like Rites of Spring, the Get Up Kids, and Sunny Day Real Estate. Also Taking Back Sunday and Thursday and more.
Hell yeah! Miss it so much. I got pregnant my sophomore year and I named him Aeden! 2005! He's going to be 17 in June. You guys, what the fuck happened to our youth???????! 😭
+Brian Bernhardt Sadly for me all the kids at my school never even heard this song nor this genre. They all like rap. Me and my best friend were the only kids who wore skinny jeans and band tees
If you’re into this stuff I’d really appreciate it if you could take the time to listen to my bands new demo! UK Pop Punk Shit 🤘🏻 much love ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lxdWngfS7XU.html
R.I.P Lisa Brown, mother of buddy Nielsen. We will never forget your light or the things you did to help all of us be able to hear this music. It has helped us all get through a lot of hard times. I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart. “Follow your bliss” ❤️

I still have it on an old desktop computer that I hook up every once in a while and if I leave it offline I can still listen to the hundreds of songs from my old limewire account. Every once in a while me and my brothers hook it up and listen to all old songs we liked from that period. It still works!!!
Grill Wasabi Sushi Channel hell yeah myspace!! I used to shove my musical tastes down my friends throats by having my playlist auto play when you went to my page haha!
ven0m789 your comment makes me laugh, but at the same time i wanna say almost everyones comment on the video has some type of weird typing error thats laughable or is just a weird statement with no meaning lol. you should read it sometime, great stuff.
*I thought they took this vid down! glad to see it back up!* This band was my favorite in high school and is still the reason why I listen to a lot of punk rock music today. I'm gonna put a list of bands here that I listened to during my high school days. (I'm def not gonna get all of them) Silverstein, The Early November, Taking Back Sunday, Bayside, Senses Fail, Saosin, Aiden, Thursday, The Used, STORY OF THE YEAR!, Underoath, Matchbook Romance, The Matches, Halifax, Finch, Paramore, Hidden In Plain View, From First To Last, The Starting Line, Brand New, Hawthorne Heights, Yellowcard, Atreyu, My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, Eighteen Visions, As I Lay Dying, Bury Your Dead
trackstar805 I fucking loved Matchbook Romance. I wish they would come back because they only have like 2 full albums but all the members have kids and responsibilities and crap so they don't have time for a reunion... They playing Warped Tour 2015 though
I'm on a self-rediscovery mission on youtube here, digging up all the old classics and trying to remember as many as possible, and your post already has half of the bands I forgot about in it. You're a life-saver :D The music back then was the best shit, can't wait to hear it all again.
Definitetly! Aiden is awesome. I missed a few bands on my list. Bayside, Plain White T's, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Story Of The Year, Mayday Parade, The Academy Is... I did listen to Fall Out Boy's Take This To Your Grave, IMO, their best album. i'm sure there's more. Too many to remember off the top of my head lol. peace.
Aiden, Bayside, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Story Of The Year, The Academy Is, Plain White T's, JamisonParker, Greeley Estates. Fall Out Boy's "Take This To Your Grave" was really good. hope this helps. if you like bands like Motion City Soundtrack, check out Houston Calls, you might like it. Enblessin waas a local band that I listened to, and was fkin good, sadly they broke up, but the music is out there, give them a listen. im trying to rediscover the old bands as well :) peace.
I need this sound & aesthetic of emo to make a come back asap. Like it makes me sad realizing this era is pretty much extinct, & there's so few gems left for me to find...
its summer 2003 you have on your favorite black band tee and your studded belt, and some cool jeans you found the mall.. You have a half pack of cigs and a senses fail from the depths of dreams EP playing as you drive to your friends house bc his parents are gone, bloody romance is playing but it starts to scratch, you take it out wipe it down put it back in and the intro of this song plays unscratched. life is good.
I'm so pissed i only discovered these guys during quarantine! I wouldve loved these guys growing up! So obsessed! They inspired to pick up my guitar again and start playing again after 7 years of it collecting dust! Thank you so much Senses Fail, better late then never I suppose!
Take me back to 2003 jr high through high school..now so many years later still love these guys...being almost 28 I was glad to catch them back in the day live
music was totally better in earlier times. If i could make the 1950s (music wise) to mid 2000's in so some kind of awesome place...i would....Whats so great about the 1950s you say? Elvis? no... Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis. 60's? the beatles and a lil thing called Acid Rock.....and Acid Rock was the shit. also Psychedelic Rock. 70s you had Led Zepplin, The Who, The Doors, The Beginning of Metal, the Beginning of Punk, the Grateful Dead...although you kinda had them in the 60s to.....the 80's you had cheesy 80s music, and awesome 80s music...the beginnings of many types of rock sub music genres to come......and for which we could not enjoy the periods we are talking about in the 2000s. then you had the 90s the 90s brought us some awesome music, a 2nd wave of punk, ska, grunge, the foo fighters, the smashing pumpkins and lots of good things....then we have the 2000s where we still had awesome music
actually music nowadays doesn't really suck if you no where to look...if your talking about the mainstream stuff..yea its lost its pizzazz or w/e you ppl liked about it.....but, metal is still going strong, and has so many wondrous things to offer. but, why be a slave of the radio or whatever people get their music from...use pandora, or spotify and be your own boss of music...or any other music place....we have more options than ever.....although senses fail was never really on the radio....they always seemed to have kind of a niche audience.....although back then i didn't pay attention to what was popular or in magazines....so no one talked about them to me, i just stumbled up on them..it was fun.
Life, is floating fast away. But I look, your head is turned away. From the moment you left I knew that something wasn't right. But the feeling inside has kept me up all night. You and me are like one heart-beat. You and me are like one heart-beat. So slice open my veins. And let, the romance bleed away. From the moment you left I knew that something wasn't right. But the feeling inside has kept me up all night. You and me are like one heart-beat. You and me are like one heart-beat. Back into what I thought I knew, these words inside me, tell me what to do. My heart held, in the palm of your hand. (Forget my name) Now I know, the way to go, this place inside my demented mind. (Forget my name) You saw me bleeding on the bathroom floor. (Forget my name) This time in silence, this time I win. (Forget my name) Now you will feel my pain Forget my name
This video hits in the feels.. an abusive household, a narcissistic mother and a whatever you wanna call it father, i will bleed this song until my last days, though i will never know buddy on a personal level, you just know that he has been to hell and back repeatedly and hes still here. If that isn't motivation i don't know what is. This bands music has saved me from succumbing to my demise and i wish there would come a day to thank them personally
If you’re not bumpin this in 2004 and wondering what’s taking so long for your Totino’s Pizza rolls to cool down then you not bout that emo life, fam. 😪
Awesome shit, I am almost 40 and getting sick of listening to all crazy heavy metal, I need some stuff with melody these days. So SF gets a new fan in 2016.
Awesome, man. And this is just their first material from 2002-03. All their albums are great. I've seen them live 3 times and they are amazing. The singer is the only founding member in the band today.
No matter where Buddy takes this band, their music, his opinions, this song will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart and no amount of conflict will ever change that. This time in silence, this time I win
I pick my little cousin up from school sometimes and she says that the music I listen to is weird. Then she wants to listen to Matty B. and watch Jacob Sartorius. Fucking kids making me feel old and shit.
2021. I'm a husband, father, dedicated career man, still hearing this song feels like i'm in eleventh grade, chasing the punk girl with a blue highlight in her hair. Sitting in my room late at night looking for inspiration . Punk is the only genre that is totally timeless
Why can't their newer music be like this? My favorite band of all time no question, but their new music is 95% screaming and doesn't show how amazing Buddy's voice is. Great song though. Probably in my top 3 all time by Senses Fail.
This sound was so raw and emotional... though they were bad musically bad and they improved through the years, this remains one of their best songs as they managed to blend the simple riffs and the off-key vocals into a solid emotional single which will always be more than the adding of its parts.
They are not bad musically. Haha. Its the style. It sounds just fine to the ears of people that love this type of music. Also its because not a huge production of polishing in the studio. Studio money and Processing with computers polishes things but this very much right here is a band in its prime making great music.
Senses Fail is "Post-Hardcore" with other genres like, emo-core, emo, and Hardcore-Punk tagged to them. Saying senses fail isn't post-hardcore is like saying chiodos isn't post-hardcore.
This takes me back to my darkest and favorite days....hoping to meet the right person to share this with. Been in 5 relationships so far and all of them didn't seemed like the right. Starting to feel i won't find the Right one for me. Hope you do 2000's people. :) sry if my english wasnt accurate. "You and me are like one heart heart beat" is all i wanted to say...now i think i'm living my last days.hmm yeah they are near
Honestly one of the best bands I have ever seen live. Buddy really does care about the fans. He was asking for requests of songs people wanted to hear. Kick A$$ band and they sounded just so awesome live. I thought my ear drums were going to burst it was so loud at the concert but sounded amazing!!!!
Angel Melly I meant songs with more meaning to them, I was referring to mainstream stuff which only talk about either drugs, sex ... that's why I said "some"
