Thanks for this video! There are no videos as comprehensive as this and I couldn’t set up the room sensor before I watched your video. Much appreciated Sir!
I believe I have an issue with the thermostat in the unit. I set it to 25°C, and the actual room temperature is around ~20°C (I have a thermometer), but after 10 minutes, the unit's thermostat shows the room temperature to be around 30-31°C, and it doesn't provide much or any heat. Essentially, the AC sensor detects a much higher room temperature compared to the actual room temperature. If I use the "IFeel" button on the remote, it displays the correct (real) temperature. I used only the "IFeel" button, but after a while, it goes back to the unit's sensor. Can I use the Sensibo for my problem ?
Hi, does the sensor need a clear line of sight with the sensibo air? can I install it in a completely different room in the house separated by walls so it'll transmit wirelessly to the sensibo? Thanks.
I believe it can because it’s just done in the software. However, I don’t think sensibo allows that if not there won’t be an appeal to buy their new stuff.
Hi. I have a completely new sensibo air with rom sensor. Rom sensor loosed contact. It worked properly about 8 hours since unpacked. I did not received any Manual and it seems very difficult to check a battery since I do not know how to open the lid to do so. No info about battery replacement on sensor. Do you know anything about that? Thank you very much.
Did you get your sensibo air from sensibo website or from a reseller in MY? I’m in Singapore and I don’t see any resellers that sell the Air in Singapore.
Hey siri set test ac to on ... I find it sets to Auto/Auto, as opposed to what it was last set at. HomeKit just doesn't seem to give me access to fan speed, and I don't know if that's my fault or not. Hey siri set living ac on set to cool 21 degrees will at least not have it set to auto, but I didn't know if I could set default behaviour better for homekit
Homekit wasn’t available during this time of recording. And it’s still not publicly available. I’m one of the beta testers (invitations sent out way after I finished the video). Functionality is pretty basic on homekit. However, it’s stable and it works.
@@AriffSuffian thanks for the reply Ariff! Actually im looking for a full set of apple homekit system for my new home, does the sensibo air latest firmware supported apple homekit now? would greatly appreciate if you do an episode of apple homekit review about this! thanks!
Likewise, I prefer to have it all homekit. Except for my CCTV and air purifiers. I didn’t have to update the firmware so homekit is already supported. I don’t see a reason why they won’t make it public as the tests seem to be going good. It’s a big task when that happens because they’ll need to be issuing the homekit codes for existing users and maybe changing the packaging a bit for new users.
Great review, thank you! I already have one SKY at home, also connected via Sensibo API to my home automation system Homematic (for more functionality), and I'm considering another SKY or AIR for other rooms with A/C splits. Bt. how does your 35% discount on SKY work? No matter what I do, I still have a price of $ 99, which is a standard discount for everyone, even without your discount ... :-(
Hello! I love the third party integration capabilities of Sensibo. Using it on my streamdeck is so handy. Anyway, for the discount I believe that the Sensibo discount (when available) will override my discount. I’ll check with their team and update you!
@@AriffSuffian Discount - no no, it's such a permanent game on the part of Sensibo :-( They have a product price set at $ 149, but they basically never sell for it. The almost permanent discount is at 99USD. So if your discount is from the total price (I dare say it does not exist), then it is actually no discount. Unfortunately. It's just a marketing ploy for fools, but that's how Sensibo does it.
It’s rare for anything to be sold at the advertised retail price right?! Haha. I’ve sent them an email to clarify on this. They usually take a day to reply. I’ll update you :)
I’m not sure if it works. Try covering the wall thermostat (to block the connection/line of sight to the AC) while trying some functions (on/off). If the functions don’t go through then the Sensibo may be able to work.
Great video. Is the air worth it? Compared to the Sky? Also is the motion sensor battery operated? I didn’t see a power cable? What can’t the Sky do the that Air can? Thanks very much for the clarity. ✌🏻
It is, for one major reason, homekit support. This probably only affects Apple users. Besides that, the core functionality is the same. Sure it can be paired with the motion sensor (battery operated) but I don’t see myself creating a trigger for the AC when motion is detected. If you can get an awesome deal on the Sky and don’t need homekit support, then maybe skip the Air.
Thank you for your video!! I have a question about the function that switch off the Air conditioning. I understood that the is the possibility to set the system for example to turn off the air conditioning after 10 minutes that the sensibo room sensor doesn't detect any movement, but let's say I do go to sleep at 10 pm and wake up at 8 am and so I want the air conditioning on, there is any function to disactivate the sensibo room sensor from 10 pm to 8 am?
