@@gianwalton5687 Depends on which timeframe you are judging this company from. Usually, stocks are forward-looking - Luminar will most likely be on a growth trajectory starting from 2022. Adjusted to their number of partnerships, outlook, mass production capabilities, and cost, I think it's safe to say it is undervalued. On the other hand, if you are judging this from a current timeline (current as in April 28th of 2021) then yes it is overvalued. This comment will be a day old when you look back to it, so are you going to be making investment decisions based on your perceptions now or in the near future?
They are doing the opposite of simplifying or clarifying here, makes me confident something is wrong with what they are doing. How is the LIDAR they are making superior? How is their FSD tech superior? Why do we even need LIDAR for FSD? How are they launching the package before they have data? Blah blah, buzzwords and it is hard...if lives depend on it, wouldn't you want them to have some data?
Apparently they don't know what Tesla is doing, based on his description of the competition. It is fascinating to see so many super smart people put so much money and effort into absolutely doomed efforts like this, Waymo, Huawei...
