This siren is part of the Spartanburg County Outdoor Warning System, and it is tested on the first Saturday of every month weather permitting at 1:00 pm, and is controlled by the Spartanburg County Emergency Management Agency
I went by myself today to head down to Arcadia, South Carolina to record one of the weirdest looking siren that I have ever seen. This siren was installed (I think) way back in the late 1980s. I also noticed that the location of the siren I was at a postal service, and I was noticed that there used to be a fire station right here a long time ago.
