I don't know about SA But in my country confessions are initialled in every paragraph and every page is fully signed. A declaration by the attorney is also signed and attached to the confession. You can't just say there was legal representation without proof. Attorney's declaration must be signed and attached with the confession

From Reading the judgment, the Judge seemed lost and confused…like he is not the one who wrote the notes. When he went for the book I was confused bcoz he was about to list the reasons. What is really happening here????? We accept the judgement though.

So Mr Ntanzi asked to go to court and they took him to an office to make a confession..did he say he wants to go to court to confess?

She is a magistrate...these are the words of the judge. Why is reminding the defence of that?

I must admit, I also thought that a confession to a commissioned officer was admissible. I didn’t know that the law did not place any weight on the rank, but that a confession to a peace officer (of any rank) can only be admissible if reduced to writing in the presence of a magistrate or justice. Interesting

This Judge is not neutral, he is in favor of Baloyi. This case has no fareness
