Maybe they didn't expect it to be THIS strong 😂 too sad the main characters are already predetermined and we already know who's gonna end up with who. I just kinda wish start up is kinda like the kdrama Love Alarm wherein you don't know who the real Main Lead is gonna be so we just stick until the end feeling hopeful and all 😂

Yeah like best friends at least . I mean they comforted each other so much when they were young and shared their struggles with each other . But nope they just had to exclude him. Never thought dalmi would just leave him hanging and never talk about the letters properly or even see why thy started it and see his relationship with halmoni . Pretty sure if she would have properly talked to halmoni and jipyeong without anyone's interference, ji pyeong and dalmi would've been best friends at least if not lovers.

Now that I think of it, Nam joo hyuk as Do San does cry a lot in start up unlike his other kdrama series and I think I've only got to appreciate that until now because of your comment. He as an actor is already a hotshot in the field and I myself initially thought that I'd be rooting for him all throughout the drama, but I 100% agree with you about Ji Pyeong's backstory, because honestly Seon Ho as Ji Pyeong literally pulled it off and we can't just deny how good his impact is in start up, no wonder why almost everyone (including me) is rooting for Ji Pyeong. I can't imagine anyone else portraying Ji Pyeong's role as effectively as Seon Ho did tbh and it makes me think that he kinda outshined the main character himself 🤷

For me that crying scene felt like he over did it, not like crying cause you broke up with someone you dated for less than a month but more like crying like your wife of 10 years has died...

@@menace2819 you're right . Nam joohyuk is an amazing actor it's just his character which is not so good . And yes he did overdo the crying. Jipyeongs crying always felt justified and he didn't cry every single episode . Nam do san cried because he found dalmis hairband in jipyeongs car . Like why would you cry about just ask her . I've seen a lot of actors who cry so well that even I'm moved on tears . I cried when ji pyeong cries and even in Kim soohyuns drama I've cried when he cries. But nam do san cries each and every episode over such small things that I couldn't sympathize with him . But nam joo hyuk Is a great actor.

Exactly 😭 it's like they're intentionally breaking our hearts. I've kinda given up on JiDal endgame already but some comments are giving me hope. I think having JiDal endgame would make a change in kdrama history and it would be great if that happens in the last 2 eps, but if not, then that's too bad bc it won't make that big of an impact

Exactly . It is . They all should've sat together and discussed but dalmi just confronted do san and left jipyeong hanging even when he was hurt she asked for business advice . She didn't think that why would he come to halmoni when he's hurt . And see what halmoni and jipyeongs relationship is . She just ignored everything related to jipyeong .
