No that's just an Asian thing because we bow a lot. The dress is tailored and adjusted to fit just her. It's respectful and it also becomes a habit...just like the girls putting a blanket over their legs when sitting down. In my culture, when we walk in front of elders we duck so our heads are lower than the elders...I automatically put my hand on my chest even though I'm not showing cleavage.
