Hello all my friends! The weather in Seoul has gotten a lot colder again. At night, it goes down to -13°C OMG 🥶 Today, I'd like to introduce you to another beautiful place in Seoul. There are a total of four courses on the Hanyangdoseong-gil Trail so we're going to walk one part of course 1 today. We walk through the trail, Changgyeonggung-ro and Hyehwa-ro to Sungkyunkwan Univ. Be careful not to slip!
*How to get to the starting point: Take a taxi from Gyeongbokgung Palace or Anguk Station Subway to the entrance of Waryong Park. The taxi fare is about ₩6000 won.

Ah, you will love it here in Seoul 🙂 I recommend one particular hike to experience both the wall and some excellent city views, which is the trail that takes you to the top of Mt. Inwangsan. I enjoy entering from the neighborhood of Buam-dong, which is a quiet and beautiful part of town in its own right. Happy travels!

Some background - the wall in its original form was built early on in the Joseon Dynasty period, which began at the end of the 1300's. It was mostly built in a frenzy of about 2 years (by order of the king), which is quite impressive for that time! Though it has definitely undergone some additions and restoration since then.. Happy travels 🙂

@@FlavorofMind Actually, I had the stone masons use the technique. I asked my contractor to work with the crews. Here in the USA, "building" a house, usually, means one hires a contractor to oversee the construction. You just pay the bills! 🤣 Again, thanks!

What stunning views as you descend the wooden stairway. It’s so quiet and I love hearing the crunch of your footsteps Nathan on the icy ground. The stone wall is a real feat of architecture. Could you please advise me what station should I stop, which exit, If i want to follow your foot step? And is it best to go there with subway or bus?
