This is the first case in Korea that has reorganized the existing road into a pedestrian-centered road, and introduced the concept of a sidewalk and a road coexistence road for pedestrians, and a green road, a street full of greenery.
In order to secure eco-friendly clay blocks and safe walking rights for pedestrians, the road was paved with plaster stones (Pavingstone), and 20 zelkova trees and two types of 130 planting and chairs were installed for citizens' rest areas, as well as the creation of historical landscape and improvement of the street environment in connection with Deoksugung Palace, a nearby historical facility.
The stone wall road of Deoksugung Palace, which is filled with romance, is a perfect place for lovers to walk, and there are the Seoul Museum of Art and the Seoul Museum of History.
