Mikey for North Korean cold soup noodle if it tasted like salt water than you've gone to a wrong place. It should have a deep, clean and beefy broth taste. It's a simple dish but very difficult to get the noodle and even more difficult to get the broth right. Many restaurants don't spend time making broth to cheap out, so it tastes very bland. Or often use fish broth instead. If you go to legit Noodle restaurant, they'll spend a good day or days prepping the broth in a large cauldron on woodfire and you will taste the difference.

there is a silmilar thing with uber in korea too. it's called kakao taxi and you need only a minute to call the taxi and ride it!!

you can make your own cold brew teas at home. just put your loose leaf tea in a filter or tea bag in a container of water and put it in the refrigerator overnight. drink it the next day it will be perfectly brewed with no bitterness!

From a korean - you're supposed to add in vinager & hot mustard to flavor the soup. The soup itself is a beef broth but yeah, it generally has a milder flavor until you add vinager.

You need to try that noodles at least 3 times! Then you would taste the delicate beef flavour and the aroma of the buckwheat. Im literally ADDICTED to naengmyun!!

The noodles in "salt water" needs to be added with vinegar to taste. The vinegar is usually on the side for you to add on your own.

Dear Micky, What you had as a Naeng-meon(cold noddle) is called Pyong-yang Naeng meon and the soup is actually their hand crafted preparation of 24 hour boiling meats and cooling to scoop out the white fat out to be clear as you mentioned "salty water". Actually, not all Koreans enjoy Pyong-yang Naeng meon as they served so they put some vinegar and yellow hot mustard paste.
