I've been watching these videos for about 2 years now I think? Maybe longer. It's my sunday morning routine, breakfast with Cari. The past videos have been extra special, since I was in Seoul. Such fun to recognize places and knowing what I was doing at that moment. I'm now back home, I really miss Korea.

I have the same feeling every time I leave a theater. You explained it so accurately-how you see things from a different perspective while staying under the impression of what you just saw. I also usually play a soundtrack of the film I just watched to keep that feeling lingering a bit more on the way home.

I think there's both objective and subjective qualities to art, if it's delivering on one I can enjoy it. To challenge myself, still take something from it, have a reference for discussion/examples, or just because someone took the time and it shows. Old black and white movies for example, even if the story/characters aren't exactly my thing the cinematography/creativity at the time usually is enough to keep me interested.

Love that you are having nice weather in May, it's so nice to see all the beautiful nature there. In Paris is has been raining and cold though it looks like in june we are getting some nice sun. Not an art museum but I had to do the Human Rights Museum in Winnipeg in two visits. I really wanted to pay attention to everything and got pretty burnt out half-way through. I was so embarrassed to leave part-way, but I ended up being so glad that I did! i went back the next weekend and just picked up where I left off and actually had the bandwidth to interact with the exhibits!

I went to a fantastic show at the Fringe by an actor names James Rowland and he made a point of saying to everyone that they could just leave the performance anytime they wanted and it was an auditorium where to leave you’d have to “disturb” everyone and everyone had to get up for you to go through and he told one of the members of the audience to do it just to show how unbothered he’d be if it happened as he believed you should be able to leave any situation you don’t want to be in. It was great to know that and it was one the best one man shows I’ve ever seen. James Rowland: Piece of Work.

Art is subjective as we've all heard 1,000 times. I know what I like and what draws me in. So..when I go to a museum, I abandon trying to understand all the art. I go by what my emotions are that particular day. Although don't get me wrong...I'm extremely aware of others who are standing for long amounts of time staring at a piece and that in itself will make me feel like there's something wrong with me and why I don't get it...ugh...who cares...art speaks to our hearts. We just have to listen and ignore other people while we're listening!!!! xo

I'd like to recommend you to visit Grand Seoul Land park Art Museum where's right below Seoul. There exist a huge lake and zoo too. These days are right event season there. :)

I love your handwriting. Ooo.. DNF'ing a book vs walking out of a movie. As a reader and a cinephile, I believe completely that a reader should not force themselves or feel obligated to finish a book they are actively despising or are just bored with, and a movie theatre goer should not feel pressured to stay til the ending credits if anything about the viewing experience is infuriating. That means if the crowd ain't a good one, leave and watch it another time. That means if there's some formal or narrative element about the movie that is pissing you off, walk away. If you're just bored to tears? Take a nap.
