Cari, when you was at the photos museum, at around the 8:04 mark in this video, there is a photo of an elderly man riding a merry go round. This photo spoke to me so much that I was instantly in tears. The joy on his face was so wonderful. I am 76 years old and I can so relate to his joy of doing something that brings such happiness. My question is if the photo has a name, if prints might be for sale? How would I find out. I would love to own a copy of this photo. Thank you for any info you can give me and also for the wonderful content you continuously give us. I especially love the slow laid back vlogs, the easy day do nothing kind, are so nice to watch. I am a huge BTS ARMY for many years, so anything related to the Korean culture fascinates me. I have learned so much about the country through BTS and the searching I've done to be able to understand them and where they come from. Great group of men who are so under appreciated by my "slow to accept difference" country.

I love old korean photos… it’s so fascinating to me because i feel like most of my mental images of korean history are romanticized versions from pop culture, dramas/tv, etc… and comparing what is represented in photography vs contemporary representation is so so interesting. Will definitely check out the museum in samcheong
I remember when I first got into Kpop in Grade 10, my friend showed me how to write the Korean alphabet, and for the rest of my high school career my notes would be filled with doodles of me practicing Korean by writing certain words and Kpop idols’ names 😂 so your method of remembering Japanese is so real LOL

I was searching specifically for vlogs about Suwon the other day as I'm going there in February (saw yours already of course), but no other vlogger could come near your level of storytelling so I gave up haha. It's such a nice balance of calming sequences, new things to discover, and scenes where you talk, but not in this annoying "I'm a youtuber, so I take myself more seriously than I should" kinda way... When my grandpa immigrated to Canada from Norway, the fishing village he lived in had a large Japanese population and an evening Japanese school that he would go to for fun. When I was a kid, he would teach me the "alphabet" and he recited them by consonant in a sort of rhythmic way that made the order easy to remember! "Akasatanaaa~ Hamayarawaaa~"

100% Dutch is the first language I’ve learned to a fluent-ish degree since I was six. So to me it is crazy that I can pinpoint the first time (this Christmas) I said something that only works in Dutch in my native language!

The music you choose is so personal and intimate sounding. It matches your tone of voice and speaking style, and makes it feel like you're taking us with you as opposed to simply showing video footage. It's a very interesting style. I love how you even manage to arrange the food you're eating, so it too is picturesque and charming lol. I liked this one. Even in the midst of bad air quality and gloomy weather, you still manage to come across as a spot of brightness as you travel through it. I don't drink tea, but I do drink coffee, and I find myself getting a cup of coffee before watching one of your videos. Just seems appropriate somehow lol. This was a very pleasant and enjoyable video to watch. Thank you for including us in your adventures!

I’ve never really packed for that much cold weather either but my main tip is that sweaters can be reworn many times without washing so just bring two and rotate them the whole trip :)

When I heard 명동 I started watching the video extra carefully trying to see if I've walked past any of the places you filmed. I stayed in that part of Seoul when I was there. Also all the videos I see of you out and about increases my want to go back so bad!🤩It's nice and cozy and the vibe is relaxing. I love these videos along my knit/crochet projects.🥰 Also I just realized I haven't subscribed, so fixed that. 😅
My hands hurt a lot too when I started crocheting but I saw somewhere that holding the needles in an ergonomic and comfortable way is super important and will prevent a lot of future problems, so I trained myself to relax my shoulders and modify my grip. It’s frustrating at first because you keep holding it the painful way without noticing but you get used to it! Also, sorry if you already knew this and you just prefer to do it that way but when you get that first yarn end if you stick your hand in the middle of the skein/ball and try to fish for the end that’s in there it comes out a lot easier while you work (except when you get the dreaded “yarn vomit” 😂).
Ahhh i love how much peace you transmit throught your vlogs. My mom is always trying to make me learns any kind of sewing style, but seeing you crochet makes me want to learn something that relax me that much. I hope your next travel goes really well and funny just for you to have a nice time. (L)

I’d love to show you around some places in Kyoto when you’re in Japan if you need a guide! I’ve lived here for over four years (technically over five but not consecutively) and I know some super cute more hidden away places 😌☺️ As for Japanese, I used flash card apps for learning hiragana and katakana as well as writing. Maybe you already know these but these are some helpful phrases I think! すみません = excuse me, I’m sorry, and occasionally can mean thank you. “__” はいくらですか？ = how much is “blank”? “__”はどこですか？ = where is “blank”? “__”はありますか？ = do you have “blank”?
