Many commenters say how this video is ridiculously unnecessary, as EVERYONE knows how to crack eggs and separate yolks from whites, but I beg to differ. I found some methods ridiculously creative and inspiring. Good job!
I feel the same! Just discovered it now and am glad there are so many options to use besides using the hands which can be ick! The ostrich egg was also extremely fascinating to me so I am glad it was included :D
Why is everyone talking about rubbing their darn fingers with a garlic clove? No one seems to test whether that method works without. Many of these seem superior anyway.
Here I am arguing with myself to buy an egg seperator gadget & I have most of these ideas at home. Must try the shot glass one as we have so many from another life.
Separating the yolk and the white of an ostrich egg looks hard to do on your own. I mainly use my hands to handle eggs, though I have to wash my hands before and after.
Simple and nice video, idk why so much negatives comments. Thay want every time hard dish making? Silly. (my opinion). Ppl dont know how get more happyness from simple things. So they are angry and stupid. Well, what about me, thank you for video, and was glad to see u again. W8ing new videos (simple too :) )
I find it very difficult to make sure that the yoke doesn't break each time as soon as I crack open the shell. Could this be due to my keeping the eggs in a fridge? Please help a clumsy old man.
I think I could do it, you just need soft taps anyway so yes it would be possible... but the back side works just fine so no point using the sharp side.
Am I the only one who noticed all the egg whites getting through the slide into the yolks??? The product is not worth it if it can't even do its intended purpose.
you know I know they say it is better on flat surfaces, but I have cracked quite a few eggs myself as well and I feel like an edge works out better. who knows maybe I have a bias to it for some reason but I feel like im being objective.
I prefer cracking on a flat surface, it creates a fissure down the center. Then just separate it. But on a edge, it creates an isolated hole, not helping with the prying open action
Should have been called "Lots of stupid ways to separate eggs, and one right way." (using the hands/fingers) While you CAN crack an egg on the rim of a bowl, one should NEVER do so, nor should you use the spine of a knife. you, more often than not, put shards of the shell into the whites and those smaller pieces are never coming out of the egg. they are hard to see, but you will taste them once cooked (it's like a tiny grit of sand in an otherwise creamy egg). Just do it on the counter top or other flat surface. you'll still get good cracks in the shell, but the bits of shell will be nice and large and will generally not be a problem.
well all these egg tricks work, you should have seen the ones that didn't make it into the video because they didnt work and those were crazy ridiculous.
sometime you have to have fun in life, and trust me I enjoyed myself thoroughly with that ostrich egg. I've never smiled so much in my life, I was also nervous as hell that I would mess that up there's no videos of anyone ever cracking an ostrich egg open like a chicken egg, at least not that I could find
Ok... i mean I honestly like the way i cracked open that ostrich egg in half like a regular egg, 99% of tutorials will tell you to make a hole and most of the time break the ostrich egg yolk so i feel I showed something unique. I dare you to go and try cracking a ostrich egg like that
I live in a third world country where I see cats dogs, kids & elders digging for food in the trash... I liked everything in this video, super informative until you cracked the egg for fun... I don’t know why Americans are ok with playing with food 🥘 people here are using flour in all sorts of ways just stay full, and here you are in your whole entity making an art statement by going slow motion with “dropping an egg 🥚 in fascination. 👍🏻
One last thing, by doing this you’re inspiring 100s if not millions of others to play with food to make their videos look nice. Being successful as you are, you’re/ plus every/anyone is held accountable for good or bad they do and it’s domino effect. ✌️
I suggest go look at a few ostrich egg opening videos and then come back, no one cracks an ostrich egg like that at all most people drill a hole in it or use spikes and a hammer to get in. My point here is that ostrich egg is a huge trick, and just that would probably be novel enough of a trick for a video in my opinion
