Why a secular government? Our founding fathers Knew the Dangers of religion. Shit! Look at Cowboy Roy Moore....you want that in the senate. Make room for god...he's coming through. Never happening, never has, never will. My government is run by those non secular folks too. Yes illegal and sad.

@@dragonhold4 Too true! “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name." (Exodus 20: 7, NIV). btw, "name" also means "reputation" so if someone impugns God's reputation (for example by saying He won't/can't do what He said He would, thus making Him out to be a liar) then they're taking His name in vain.

People fail to realize that in science jargon, “theory” is the highest form of reputable. It’s the most confirmed a hypothesis can be, because science never claims anything as 100% fact due to science always growing and new things being discovered. Gravity is a theory. Atoms are a theory. But everyone sees them as fact because there is such a mountain of evidence. Same exact story with evolution. It is a theory, but with enough evidence that most people see it as factual.

Ehhhh no. Education, much like vaccination, is something that affects more than yourself. Education is a means for a person to not only raise themselves up above their current position, but also to learn how better to 'think' - the best purposes of education teach self-discipline, motivation, skepticisim, and how to understand things like logic and the scientific method, making those educated harder to be swayed by demagogues or those with their own self-interests - simply put, to have minds of their own. Education also does things like improve the ability of people to empathize, resulting in greater compassion and awareness of one's fellow man - an educated populace isn't *just* for the people being educated, but is in fact a benefit to society as a whole, just like a populace that's disease resistant is more capable of protecting those with compromised immune systems. As a people we have to learn to accept that our actions have consequences for more than ourselves. Putting it in the hands of parents to decide 'will my child be educated' will either perpetuate ignorance, perpetuate small-minded views, or simply leave them unaware of things that they could have encountered otherwise - if a child taught now by parents who didn't think computers were important came of age in the next ten years he'd be at a significant handicap.

Well I can see you are absolutely wrong. No, this country wasn't partially founded on religion, hence the First Amendment strictly stating the separation of church and state. Second, most of the Founding Father's were either atheists or agnostic. Third, lack of religion is not communism. I suggest you actually do some research. The belief that religion is required for a stable society is just plain false. In Christianity's short history alone, many of the worlds wars, fights, and injustices performed have been in the name of God and the Bible. Considering most Christians have never read their own Bible and tend to quote things that don't actually exist in their Bible (such as many who obviously don't know the Ten Commandments they claim are the foundation of US society, aren't even the final Ten Commandments in the Bible they thump, or that the Bible actually condones abortion that unfaithful women should have any child aborted even if the man just suspects it is not his, or that the Bible considers rape a marriage proposal). In fact, historically speaking even by the modern era, religion has been the heart of major catastrophes and conflicts enacted by people unwilling to accept what others do for themselves. Hell, Christianity alone has over 33,000 different denominations all vying that their one view of God is the right one and everyone else is going to Hell for not believing the way they do. Even going so far as to start arguments, fights, and even outright murder people over such things. And this is something that happened recently. The denial that religion is a good thing, and that Christianity in particular, will lead to spiritual and social salvation is just plain rubbish. Hell, the ironic thing, even Jesus, in that Bible people thump, said that the separation of Church and State is a mandatory thing. That famous line of "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and render unto God what is God's." Yea that's what it means.

Religion is evil, my morals tell me so. beating your religion into childrens heads should be the worst crime possible.
