You must get so burned out sometimes as a nurse! I went to nursing school at 49 years old & by the time I got out, I was shocked to find out that there weren’t many places hiring older graduates! I graduated 2nd in my class behind a LPN student back for her BSN! I did get offers for positions in the Nursing Home setting but was not interested in long term employment! I am glad I did it tho because I gained so much knowledge that I have applied in so many life situations! I love the Hourglass blushes because I am so heavy handed with blush! I find I can go ham with it and not look absolutely insane! The hourglass mascaras are also amazing! Hourglass is hands down one of my top five makeup brands! I also agree that ABH shadows are unbeatable! I paused for awhile with her tho when I learned that her red/rosy shades that are my fave, were made with some sort of beetle bug!😝. I got over it finally and am on the ABH bandwagon again! I have dark brown eyes, and ABH red/rosy/brown shades pop my eyes like no other! Great video Lexi, nice haul!👍🏽
I love that you went to nursing school at that age, age is just a number you can literally start ANYTHING at any age. I’m a strong believer in that. Are you still a nurse? Hourglass anything is great I agree, I limit myself to one or two products at during the sales, their primers have been calling my name! I totally agree how their blush formula is so easy to work with and build up. ABH has slowed down on their palettes:( I would LOVE a killer nude palette from her like the Patrick Ta ones! 🩷🩷🩷
@@lexifmakeupNo longer a nurse, I have retired, but I use my nursing skills actively within my circle of friends, family and acquaintances. Especially with my two grandchildren whom I adore and spend oodles of time with! Nursing teaches us so many critical thinking skills that I rely on frequently! I went to nursing school because I somehow lived through the loss of my Mom, Dad, and Sister and only sibling who died at age 52 of breast cancer. My Mom & Sister had hospice teams toward the end of their lives who let/encouraged me to be as hands on as I desired. Since I was there daily with both of them already, I rolled up my sleeves and did the most I could to treat, comfort and care for most all of their needs! I was even able to bathe, tidy and ready my Mom before the funeral representatives came to pick up her body! Perhaps one of my most cherished memories! After those experiences I just felt compelled to be able to do the same for others! I relished my relatively short time as a practicing nurse, but I look at the whole experience as a constructive way to channel my searing grief in a positive, productive manner; a labor of love in their honor! My Dad passed away when I was a freshman in college. My sister in 2005 & Mom in 2006. ❤️❤️❤️
@@lexifmakeupP.S. Thanks for everything you do on a daily basis on behalf of your patients! I know how difficult it is, and how subject to burnout a nurse can be. BIG RESPONSIBILITY! Nurses are unsung heros in so many ways because once the physician has completed his/her job, we are charged with implementing and seeing that their care plans are carried out to the best of our abilities. An important tiring task but gratifying,fulfilling and the sense of purpose is off the charts! Glad I found you Lexi, and I am glad you have your YT channel as a pressure valve if you will! If you are as talented as a nurse as you are creating looks with makeup and sharing your artistic skills with us, you have my vote for nurse of the year! 🌹
It looks like you’ve picked up great things. Dior’s Backstage items are not known for the packaging. I do like most of the things that I have (not a ton) but their packing is not like regular Dior packaging.
