As a Tretinoin User I Absolutely LOVE The Ordinary Soothing Barrier Support Serum. I wear it underneath, before I apply my Tret, and I'm able to tolerate it much better, while still getting the full benefits of Tret, but without irritation. 💞
Yesss girls! Im using it now, too! One of my ordinary faves now! Up there with the multi peptide serum plus copper peptides or whatever it’s called. (Why couldn’t they just keep the name buffet plus copper peptides 1% lol so much easier to remember and say)
That cloud cream looks amazing. If you like that, try 100% Pure. I’d love to see you review the 100% percent Pure Chocolate coffee cleanser, I was considering getting it because I just stocked up on my absolute favourite body scrub in the world, the chocolate cocoa body scrub, and also a couple of the cacao chocolate face scrubs and mask as well. The ingredients in them and the smell is beyond amazing. The vanilla and coconut scrubs are also absolutely to die for too, although I did not pick up on those this black Friday sale because they weren’t in the sale bin, I got blood orange and lavender instead. I also picked up three bottles of their hair conditioner, which has amazing ingredients, rice toner serum, my FAVOURITE eye cream (Coffee bean eye cream), vanilla hand cream, Vitamin C serum, CGEC cream, pm rye serum, cream and Pm retinol night cream. Excited to get my haul (all these items were WAY cheaper on Black Friday after you get a certain amount in the cart, really good deals). Moisturizers with real natural ingredients make your skin amazing, it’s the fake synthetic chemicals that actually age your skin and can make it “feel” good, it it’s actually doing nothing
I’m honestly so sick of Sephora! There is chronically issue and inconsistency with that company. I just received my order and 2 Items that were gifts are missing and now out of stock. Can’t get it in store either. They never told me! Just didn’t send it. I called CS and 1 item was supposed to be in the the shipment and the other was just out of stock altogether. Every single time I order there’s always an issue! Always!!!!
Great recs! Thanks! Question …What shade do you use on the Sephora powder as a bronzer?? Also … What shades of blushes did you use in this video? And lips? Cute pup 🐶
Hey Abbey, what red-light brand do you recommend the most? Besides the Current Body (whatever they're called) bc they have such awful customer service. Terrible.
I'm BEGGING you to help me. I have very thick, wavy, now silver (ish), very damaged, in need of a cut, medium-length hair. I found you from your " 8 Second Wonder Water" video. I'm beyond confused and frustrated. What are a couple drugstore hair washes, conditioners, shine products etc. that I can try? I need to purchase all. Thanks and I love your channel, new subscriber here :)
Always love hearing your recommendations! My bank account probably doesn’t appreciate it though 😂 I can tell you put a lot of thought and time into your videos!
Abbey, I am looking at The Ordinary sale..have you used the NIOD copper peptides? Are they worth the cost vs The Ordinary one? They are 50% off this November and not sure if I should go for the NIOD. You probably won't even see this..lol! so if anyone has any info, it is much appreciated!! ❤❤
They don't do the discount on The Ordinary! I know, I had to read the fine print when my discount didn't add up. Slovember has kicked off on TO website. Thnx for the thoughtful recs.
It was so funny my daughter's Friend was trying to look for your channel after I recommended it and realized she was already following you and watching your videos to help her with her hair journey.
No, really the Hourglass palettes last FOREVER. I am still using the palette I bought in 2018 and I have NOT hit pan! I have a small to medium makeup collection and I have used my blushes SO MUCH, yet there’s hardly a dent. I refuse to purchase another Hourglass palette until I’m done with the one I currently have. 🤷🏻♀️ ❤M
Abby! Did you know that The Ordinary products aren’t included in the VIB Sale? If you look at check out online, the discount isn’t apply for that brand. I believe it’s the same thing for The Inkey List products. I thought I’d share, because my basket was full of The Ordinary, but no discount was showing after entering the VIB discount code. I am a VIB Rouge. I am based in Canada, so maybe in the US the discount apply?
Would love your thoughts on Korean makeup, especially the eyeshadow palettes. Also Clio Kill Lash mascara. I like the prices, less expensive than drugstore. Well, like drugstore used to be. Many blessings!💖💖💖
Interesting that you say that milk primer doesn’t pill! I think it works well for me until about 3-5 months in, and then it’s pill central!! I bought a second one just to make sure I didn’t get a defected one, and still same outcome!
This comment is kinda unrelated…but something I’d love you to do a video about is about combining different products in haircare. Specifically, if I use OGX coconut oil as a pre-treatment (which has coconut oil and silicones, among other stuff), then I basically shampoo which removes the silicones and so applying my conditioner with amodimethicone is good, right? But then what about L’Oreal Wonder Water which I also like to use? Is it overkill to use that and then a conditioner with amodimethicone? And I have various hair treatments like protein treatments, K18, etc., so how do they fit in? Then what about leave-ins like L’Oreal Elvis’s Total Repair 5? And how to choose gels that don’t pill or that work after using a silicone conditioner? Even rinse-off conditioners I find certain hair gels or creams don’t “jive” well…my hair texture just doesn’t stay. Hard to explain. I know you have your hair care routine up and I’ve watched it a few times…but for example my hair is very curly so it’s highly porous and yet I have to use gels/creams to give it definition. But I also need proteins. And I need silicones. I’ve yet to figure out the optimal way to use these products and I’d love a video or two about that! I feel like the order and combination of products should be based on which ingredients penetrate the hair strands vs. cost them, which allow moisture in vs. not, and things like that…the “molecular” nature of how ingredients are working. Sorry this is so long and rambly!
Love your makeup in the vid..can u mention what blush, lip and highlighter you've used..Would be v helpful I'd u mention makeup products in the description of all vids
I am using the Dior concealer and love it, I thought it was one of the best concealers I used, I liked it better than the huda, pat mcgrath and ABH ones which were my previous faves, so I think I will like the Haus labs one then. I love Glow Recipe and the cleanser sounds really nice, I want to try that
I just used the milk primer this morning and it made everything pill up. I don't know if it's because I have extremely dry skin and use a lot of moisturizer.
That one is famous for pulling if not immediately, then 5 months in or so. Other comments mention it and gals who love makeup have told me never to get it for this reason. I hate pilling!
I am surprised at how much you love the Haus Labs concealer!! It made me look like the crypt keeper around the eyes no matter how I tried to prep. The foundation is my holy grail and honestly GOAT but that concealer is a huge fail.
Jelly fish pallets will look gorgeous on you ❤ I love it and I can’t believe how good my makeup looks when I used it is all what I’m reaching for lately 😊
I used to spend $$ on mascara but I have not been for the last 9 months or so as there are so many affordable drug store mascaras, the Essence line here in Canada is $5-$9 and preform amazingly which give me more bang for my buck .
The l'oréal million lashes is a good one. Been around for years. It gets every little lash and makes them look nice and long. And doesn't flake or smudge. It's a good one. 👍
Can someone please do a HAUS video - especially regarding shade matching. I love the products but I'm struggling with shade matching. It seems the cools have warm in them. Help!
I was eyeing the barrier serum from the Ordinary, but I wanted to see Abbey's review/thoughts first lol. From one Minnesota girl to another, thanks Abbey!! 😊 Klarissa
Hi Abbey ❤, Great recommendations of the Sephora Sale. As there isn't a Sephora here in the UK I can't. But there is what's called a Black Friday sale here so can't wait until that starts. I think you would like the Bareminerals Blushlighter's! I picked up one in the shade Opal and I will buy at least another one when the Black Friday sale starts here. Thank you for all your hard work it's very much appreciated 🥰🥰🥰.
✨‼️BROWS HACK ALERT‼️ Mindful Midlife has a video on DIY Brow Gel…genius‼️✅ Before they made brow gel, I used a spritz of hairspray on a toothbrush….THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Oh!! Have you tried Lisa Eldridge's cleanser?? Talk about enjoying skincare.... This is the most expensive cleanser I have ever bought ($49.00). It is amazing, the feel and texture.. An almost balm, that turns to an oil. Works super well at removing makeup, but is so hydrating and soothing. I also use it as a mask!! I live paycheck to paycheck, but this is my one splurge. Many blessings!💖💖💖
Hey Abbey, since you’re a trichologist now, would you make a video regarding advices for hair growth/or hair loss hacks or myths? I see a lot of my older siblings experiencing receding hairline starting in 40s so was wondering for tips and when to start (should you bother in your 20s, or better not do anything). It will be helpful to learn more about your minoxidil experience (I saw it on your Amazon storefront), if you use any hair serums or new lash serum suggestions, or just things to avoid doing to not cause additional hair loss (for example, I’ve recently seen a video of a girl suggesting that wearing your hair in a big jaw clip all the time is actually damaging to certain part of your hair and can cause hair loss in the area. Thanks!
I've been trying to get on sephora from your links and those of other influencers and no go. I just end up with a "loading" message. Is this a me thing or because the site is inadequate because of the sale?
Love the ordinary recommendations! I have wanted them but they kind of got lost while making my wishlist!! Thank you! And I want to check out the summer Friday eye cream (I completely understand what you mean about not taking some brands seriously 😂😆) I've also heard the Laneige moisturizer in the blue bottle is amazing! Want to check that out also!!!!
I have them both and really like them. I have the pink Huda one and the universal Givenchy one. I would say if you want an all over face powder as well as under eye get the Givenchy one.
@@bnb0510 I only need one for the under eyes. Is one less drying than the other or are they equally as good? I use the Laura mercier right now and I find it makes me eyes look slightly dry/crepey
Wait a moment! We all know that vitamin C is very unstable. But you're recommending Summer Fridays Vitamin C and Peptide eye cream, which comes in a jar without a pump top. So every time you open the jar, the cream is exposed to light and air, which degrades virtually any active ingredient including vitamin C. Additionally, no matter how sterile your fingers are, you introduce bacteria into the jar, which also contributes to the degrading of active ingredients. So I feel you should only be recommending skincare products with proper packaging, ex. a pump of some kind that is airless, not translucent and not open to fingers!!
That’s not really a hard and fast rule, “airless pumps” let in air too. Labmuffinbeautyscience recently made a couple reels on that. Cosmetic chemists account for the packaging when formulating a product.
That’s variable depending upon where the vitamin c is derived from. As another commenter mentioned, pumps aren’t the solution here. If this mindset was carried with every product formulation, all of our products besides cetaphil would be in these over-accommodative, procrustean designs whose habitat is 20 degrees in a skincare freezer that never sees the light of day. Products are made for human consumption (in the majority of cases)
Do you have any drugstore recommendations for brands that don’t support Israel (or aren’t owned by a parent company that does)? A lot of people don’t want to re buy the current products we have for that reason but don’t know what else to buy
