Incredible supercell on September 21st that lasted for over an hour and moved from Marana to Oracle. Severe warned, with a tornado possibility in the warning text...super fun to see and such a treat!

Monsoon 7 is coming, Vorticity 5 probably will be summer 2023, this past season wasn't as awesome as I hoped :(

Amazing video! I would recommend getting your windshield ceramic coated. That will help provide a protective shield on top of the glass, which keeps the windows cleaner, with reduced glare and improved water sheeting. Doing so will greatly improve your video shots from inside the car while raining. There are a lot of DIY ones you can purchase for a very reasonable price. I barely even have to use my windshield wipers if I am driving fast enough because the wind just blows the water right off and I can see better than if I were using the wipers!

Great video of the super cell, Mike! The wife and I chased that beauty from Marana all the way to Catalina where it eventually merged with another cell over the Oracle area. Never saw any bolts drop out of that cell but it sure was fun to see it here in AZ.

Yeah man, I saw some bolts over the Catalinas after it merged, was very nice but couldn't shoot anything

Mike, that is an amazing video, OMG, what a monster cell this was... Thanks for sharing this with us! Great job! Such a thing did I observe in 2013, as a Derecho rolled over Germany and caused unbelievable damages and flooding. It crashed only in the city and the area of Duesseldorf more than 6,000 trees... Many greetings from Wuppertal, Germany, yours Wolfgang.👍👍👍👋
@MikeOlbinski
@MikeOlbinski Год назад
Oh nooo, lost a tree ourselves this year to a storm, can't imagine 6000 of them :(

@@MikeOlbinski It looked like a war zone... incredible! That was such a monster, as it started, it became dark as the night. There was no super cell, it was one strait line that looked like the wall clouds of a super cell. This monster was as big as my state, Nordrhein-Westfalen... unbelievable! Many greetings, I love your videos, yours Wolfgang.

Thanks Mike for putting a thank you feature on your channel. I don't buy merch because most of it is made by CCP slave labor (which I'm trying not to support). I wish I could send you more since I still use your films (as well Dustin Farrell) films to calibrate my sound and visual settings. Your talents (as well as those you've inspired) humbles me. Thanks again for all that you do ❤️

I love your videos but get lost when you use all that fancy weather jargon; always talking about "outflow" and "dew points" and "transition events". Sometimes I can guess well enough what you mean, but how are us regular folk supposed to know what a "dangly bit" is? Throw us a bone man!
@MikeOlbinski
@MikeOlbinski Год назад
Well, I know, but I can't stop and explain everything haha...you can definitely google those things to learn more! Dangly bit is slang for stuff hanging under a cloud base, sometimes we use that for funnels and potential tornadoes :)
