September Topwater Fishing Largemouth Bass out of the Chenango River 

Upstate NY had a lot of rain in the forecast, so I tried to beat the storm this morning. Out at 6:30 am on the Chenango River doing some Heddon Super Spook Topwater fishing. Had several misses right off the bat first hour. Threw the swim bait around in between, had four nibbles at it. Bait was getting beat up but not able to get the hook into one unfortunately. Went back to the topwater and tried pausing in between the twitches. This Largemouth Bass whacked it once, spit it, then came around for seconds. Super cool eat, clip doesn't quite do it justice but no skunking for Upstate NY Fishing today!
