Love to hear that Magical Readathon was such a success for you!! I soft DNFed Twyla & Frank earlier this year because I couldn't get on with the 'ugh I am old and have to watch my weight' comments, but this gives me hope that it could still be fun. And ooooh I really need to try Masters of Death and New York Minute! Also can't wait for you to read more of BSH Garcia's works, she is soooo good 🤩
@@esmayrosalyne I actually liked that element of Twyla & Frank because its purpose is to challenge it. As in challenging her mindset not just “there’s a guy that likes me anyway” kind of thing. But I think after having kids I needed a book that tackled detaching yourself from “just” being a mother. I’d be very interested to hear your thoughts on Masters of death because the expectations vs reality was an AWAKENING! I swear I need to stop postponing the next Quinaria book! It’s one of those that I want to “give it the attention it deserves” when life gets less busy and then life never gets less busy 😅
@@bookschocaholic Can totally see that with Twyla and Frank, I guess I didn't see it from that view because I am still such a baby myself hahahah And I will def keep you updated on Masters of Death when I get to it!
