Andreas playing Is so on point, and in roots even better since he had to cover for some of the imperfections that Max made with the right guitar during live performances. He was the one carrying the sound of the band during the concerts. and his soloing and tone are definitely an essential part of the classic sound of sepultura.

Yeah for as much as I hate what he ended up doing to sepultura, and how it went down, there's absolutely no denying the immense impact he had on how sepultura sounded. From the second he joined on schizophrenia, there's instantly a shift in feel and composition. As well as in how well he kept the rhythm section thrashing when he wasn't playing solos. The guy was exactly what they needed at that time. Love his unique sound. Phenomenal player.

@@morsteen actually I did not know that about early days and his influence, cool! I'm always impressed how they sounded Brazilian even on arise, big part is the leads.. chaos ad espwcially, but still masterfully subtle. roots, not so much! but I do like it

Lucas Queiroz concordo com vc. Sepultura com essa formação se tornou a maior banda de Thrash do Planeta. Também curto Pantera e Metallica, mais não dava pra acompanhar.

Afraid not. We went the year after when max had to fly home for his kid's funeral and the guitarist did the vocals instead. Gutted. Saw korn's 1st UK festival gig though (they sucked)

Remember that vhs from the dynamo festival we watched over and over? MachineHead, biohazard, dog eat dog? That's all on RU-vid as well. Brings a tear to the eye!

They were a great band but saying this is heaviest of all time material is ridiculous. Even at the time, bands like Suffocation, Bolt Thrower, Morbid Angel and Cannibal Corpse were much heavier. In the modern era, come on, on what planet is this as heavy as Ulcerate?

I'm listening to lots of bands, black, death, folk, goregrind, symphonic, power, speed , and a lot more but still this band has the unique blend to make them heavy in my ears. Pablo Zúñiga Listen to Max's vocals in Territory from 6:05. They're brutal, passionate, understandable, etc. Vocally Max was about perfect here.

Pantera is at school right there. And yes, a masterpiece. Leave out some of those “filler” songs and that album would be one of the greatest ever!

@@duodontousp1 It was a very hot sweaty day but the mosh pit was heaving and the sound was awesome and they played really well especially the new tracks Territory and Refuse Resist and Kaiowas was good with all members playing drums.
