I think it's long overdue that I stop mourning the departure of Max and Igor from Sepultura, and embrace the fact that this is absolutely fookin' awesome!! Awesome is an understatement - this is brutally efficient :) btw, the new drummer is top notch

'The Mediator Between The Head And Hands Must Be The Heart' as a whole is one of the best metal albums of the last decade. It starts out like a typical thrash album, but it goes in a lot of different directions after that. Individually the songs are great, but played in the arranged order they're better, Grief especially sounds heavier and more emotional between 2 faster songs. I was disappointed with Alex but I liked the concept of that album.

A fan since Beneath the Remains ... a fan until death. Yes, it was sad to see the Cavalera bros leaving over time, but Derrick and Eloy took their recruitments as serious as hell. Most other bands would go through many more personnel line-up changes compared to Sepultura over almost 35 years. I also had to adapt to Max, followed by Igor, leaving, but I am very glad I did. Plus, now, we have besides Sepultura, Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, Hubris, Nailbomb, ... Looking forward to seeing them in Houston, April 2020!!! Meet me in the moshpit!

I don't get all those comments that trashtalk Max with Soulfly....without Max there was no Sepultura in the first place. I don't get it that people can't understand that like in relationships you sometimes have to leave old settings in order to grow, stay happy and start new things (aka Soulfly). I love both Sepultura and Soulfly and there is no worse or better here....between the two bands since each has their own style. I would love to see Sepultura and Soulfly play together live once to be honest....if that will ever happen.

Claro que não dá para apagar o que foi feito no passado com o Max e o Igor, agora ficar chorando por uma reunião da banda esperando a volta dos irmãos cavalera, na boa prefiro a banda mil vezes com o Derrick e o Eloy, os caras são foda e tem muita vontade de fazer as coisas acontecerem na banda, o derrick canta com a mesma vontade hoje, como na época em que entrou na banda, além do carisma e simpatia com os fãs que ele tem. Simples assim em time que está ganhando não se mexe.

I grew up idolizing Sepultura with Max Cavalera. Like other Sepultura fans I was really disappointed when Max left the band. And I certainly didn't like Derrick Green either when I bought the Nation album in 2001. But seeing the results of their work so far, I think I'm quite impressed with how Andreas doesn't bother with the fans' ridicule about Derrick. And he still insisted on keeping Derrick. Andreas knows better than all of us that Derrick is actually an extraordinary vocalist. Most of us don't like Derrick just because he's black. While Heavy Metal is the realm of white people. But after I understood, it seems like we all have judged something not the way it should be. And that is wrong. Derrick is an extraordinary person and he is very humble. I cried seeing him being able to be patient with the fans' insults. But I think now all Sepultura fans have supported Derrick 100%. Derrick Green is one of the best things Sepultura has ever had

A galera não gosta que fala não, mas pega tudo que o Max e Igor lançaram após o inflikted, nada se compara à isso, tanto em qualidade sonora, peso, brutalidade, talvez nem o Inflikted se compare a isso. Álbum fenomenal. Melhor momento do sepultura desde 1995. Guys, I followed here in Brazil when Chaos AD came out, and I'm going to say that the shock was even bigger than roots. Now, we have a band that, every record, was showing its strength, but the media insisted on selling the need for a meeting, however, 1996 is 24 years ago, and we have a band with strength to maintain the legacy of the "old"" Sepultura, but maintaining an innovation that little s bands from abroad have. Which thrash band can compete with this record? Medallions can't even scratch themselves with such innovation... Sorry for the giants, Metallica, Megadeth, but 2020 is Sepultura!

Definitivamente os caras lutaram contra tudo e contra todos, inclusive conterrâneos saudosistas chatos pra caralho presos ao passado(Me incluo nessa). Sou apaixonado pela fase antiga da banda, fato este que me rendeu uma tattoo na panturrilha mas não tenho como negar que esse disco "QUADRA" está absurdamente sensacional e mágico em todos os sentidos. A entrada do Eloy na minha opinião foi crucial para chegarem nessa linhagem de som progressiva e virtuosa inclusive. Parabéns ao SEPULTURA por reassumirem o posto de banda internacionalmente reconhecida e respeitada, de onde nunca deveriam ter saído. Hails \m/

Os caras estão tocando muito, o Eloy é um animal na bateria. Pra mim são 2 bandas diferentes, a fase Max e a fase atual...Ambas são muito fodas. Eu me identifico mais com a fase do Max, porém o SEPULTURA com o lançamento do QUADRA entrou definitivamente para o "main stream" do metal. Uma verdadeira obra prima...parabéns a todos os envolvidos na produção dessa jóia.

Why does music have to be reduced to this? Yes Eloy is great, yes Andreas has some decent riffage here.......it means jack shit. The era they known for had great fucking SONGS! Derek just doesn't have the personality that Max brought to the music. Yes Sepultura today is their own thing, but it doesn't hold a flame to their past.
