Makes me proud to own a Rev 4! Prophet 10 SN#0032. This thing has the feel that can’t be denied no matter how new it is. Love how this is marketed as a true revision and not just a reissue!
Nobody can understand what this synth truly sounds like until you hear/own one in person. It’s absolutely amazing. It’s limited in its feature set, but it’s just one massive sweet spot no matter how you program it. The oscillators are like they’re living and breathing. Quite possibly my favorite synth of all time. And these patches probably sound 10x more amazing in real life
I ve tested in a synth shop four an hour maybe...The best sounding analogue synth I ever played...No matter the settings,it sounds great...Huge and lively! And the ergonomics are awesome!
As good as it gets. This is it. The reason I bought the prophet 5. To play these gorgeous sounds. You’re amazing for putting this together and making it available! ❤️
Can the P5 really do anything? What about negative envelopes? As gorgeous as it sounds, I think Sequential missed an opportunity with the Rev 4. In The Air Tonight wasn‘t from Genesis but from Phil Collins.
@@RayyMusik I am very well aware that In the Air Tonight is by Phil Collins! I've been a fan of his since I was little, as well as Genesis! :) I know the difference, rest assured. I was commenting on the presets I heard as a WHOLE reminded me of Genesis patches and in my stream of thought the In the Air Tonight patch played in which I mentioned that in my comment. I should have been much more precise in my writing, but I was writing from my heart and in the love of the sound and what thoughts at the given moment came to mind, which might not have a coherent and exacting mode of writing. :)
@@RayyMusik I think Sequential did exactly the right thing. Negative envelopes are not that important. There was just one sound where I missed it. Much more important is, that it's quite simple, effective and sounds fantastic as the original Prophets.
@@RayyMusik A Prophet-5 can't do everything, but a lot. That's okay. What it does, is what a Prophet-5 does. Limitations and simplicity are also part of the original's character. If you need that special pluck sound, you need something else.
@@joseph395 It makes it exactly the same as a 10. You just get to keep the prophet 5 badge (looks better in my opinion, I think of two manuals when I think prophet 10)
Totally Tangerine Dream! he sound at 0.22 sounds very Tangram/Pergamon... sometimes I fool around with my REV4 and hear bits of TD solo LPs and soundtracks.... its a great synth!
I'm very picky, i really prefer nothing but the best... These are. Wow, it's like you made the instrument of my dreams sound like my ultimate musical paradise, its like the great musical forces of the universe, masters composers, the very nectar from which i'm inspired from, are ready, with me, to make my music explode from golden stardust and organic goo into the nexus of the now, for me me me! These patches are just so carefully considered and masterfully done. Utterly M u s i c a l , like you wanna write with these because harmony becomes 4D utterly dripping with charismatic genius beauty.... Wahoooo! God i love my prophet 10 rev 4. I cain't wait for more to understand these are next level advancements akin to the invention of the piano or electric guitar and are not going anywhere, timeless and more relevant than ever before. Best of the Best of the best of the best of the best of the best.... okay time to make it funky now ! ! !
Thank you for your kind words! I am also very picky when it comes to sounds and sound programming... I only release a soundset when I am 100% convinced - that can take very long sometimes.
What is your honest opinion since you have played a Rev 3...In my experience there was a very noticeable difference when I had the two in the studio but I seem to be one of few people who have had them side by side....
