The internal sequencer is enough, and no editor needed. You should also look into the Pro3 sequencer: it’s awesome!

No, Take 5 is monotimbral. REV2 can do that.

You’re welcome! There are so many, just look for bi-timbral/multi-timbral synths. It’s also a matter of budget here!

Take 5 is mono timbral. REV2 - for eg - can do that, being bi-timbral.

You mean playing additional notes on the keyboard while the sequencer is running? This is possible!

It seems that many users noticed some sync issues. Mine had no such issues - but I had it only for a few days for tests.

you have to set your daw´s midi correctly and instead of "track" use "pattern" this did work for me...although I feel that the sync is not as tight as it could be... maybe somebody has a good way of getting this dialed in maybe?

I had it only for a short time for testing and demo. What would you be interested to find out about it?

@@AlbaEcstasy just how to use the sequencer. I'm new to synthesizers so reading the manuals is like reading some foreign language. LFO's, envelopes etc I'm kind of lost so i just turn knobs and hit buttons trying to figure stuff out. I'll get there though no one learns something over night.

Might be a connector(s) problem. Try another pair of headphones. Also, sometimes you have to push a little bit more to align the conexions.

@@Oceans_Resurrection nice to hear^^ did not yet fiddle around with the internal step sequencer, which I believe to be the "only" low point of this machine.. do you by any chance know if and how you can just programm the step sequencer steps with modulation targets?... so far I just could record notes into it which is really bare bone... as I am using an external sequencer anyhow I would much rather have some modulation going.. like I do with my OPSIX.

I heard there might be a way using the third party software from soundtower, but the issue is that there is not enough info on the software itself and I won´t just spend ))dollars to just check out if the software has this specific feature.

@@AlbaEcstasyI like your demo but would like more clarity on your reason for it popping/clicking. I get this exact same thing with my Prophet 6 if I don't get the levels right and it also depends on the patch I'm using. It sounds like external clipping or something internal going on in the synth. I just know I need to mess with the levels and filters to stop it. Having said that, if that's a specific sound you wanted to generate then fair enough - music and sound design is subjective.

@theambientassembly At that time, I had the Take 5 only for a few days. For this video, one of the modulations destination was the time of the delay. I liked the clicking/percussion result so I kept it. Regarding your Prophet 6, even a bad cable/connection (even a faulty usb/cable) or the audio interface can be the reason. But if that popping is also on headphones, check the attack on envelopes, or the env amounts. I had so many reasons for clipping/popping in my studio, that, at this moment, as I said, a lot if things can cause that. Even - most important - the “phantom edit” of the Sequential synths (yeap, they do that on my synths)…

@@AlbaEcstasyYeah, the attack envelope is the main culprit on the P6 in my experience.

@theambientassembly Last night I was working on a patch for a sequence of the Sequential Pro 3. At some point the attack of the Aux 1 envelope jumped to zero, causing clicks and pops. It took me a few minutes to find what happened 🤦‍♂️ Also, the screen menu is jumping sometimes in other categories…
