@@marcuslarwa9098yes she does and that was proven. She also said she would never want to compete against Murray because men’s tennis is a whole different sport. The physicality of it is different. She would be ranked probably 200 to 300 in Men’s division.
Serena acknowledged that the men's game is on a whole other level. This return is why she's the WTA GOAT. A vast number of men could literally never touch a serve like that.
That look right there says it all. Best woman to ever play the game and she was surprised she returned that going that fast. Women and men play very different games.
If she thought it was easy or normal, why the big surprise reaction in the video? But I agree on Venus, seen her play the match after Roddick at Wimbledon and she was serving only 6mph slower!
@@mvubu6823 even though Serena is probably the best returner on women's side, it's still very difficult for any women to return a man's serve of 138mph and hit a clean winner of it. That's why the surprise reaction and the video clip.
Yeah but 13 miles faster is a lot of speed. Bet Serena will struggle to return Venus record of 129 mph serve. The key of why shes returning so well here is because she was anticipating that ball so well and she guess the ball movement correctly. Also doubles have a much larger court surface compared to singles. So she feels less pressured to ensure the ball are not out as she have more space
Ypur comment is hands down the dumbest ever....it was a lucky return thats why it left her racket at a very slow pace and she was so amazed she even hit it and she even said she could NEVER compete against the men....stfu
Same! It brought me so much joy to watch them play together. Both so outstanding, and also have so much love and respect for each other. Just beautiful
They have been out the game for a hot minute and their name still ringing the Willian sisters are forever legends and they left a big mark in tennis history that is hard to erase or fill wish they still played i would be back glued to the television.
@@Notifysender90 ummm no my guy its been years for Serena it's been since 2022 her sister was around the same time because of a tore hamstring she hasn't played for awhile cause of it we can go back and forth very cordially.
The legacy of her and her sister will never be repeated in the future of the sport. They were the #1 and #2 players in the WORLD for an unimaginable number of years. It's almost impossible to beat that record.
They were the best at a time when there was a bunch of great players : Henin & Clijsters from Belgium, Davenport from USA, Mauresmo from France and a young Sharapova.
😳😳👀👀 I thought everyone missed this aspect of the shot not only did she returned 138 serve she placed the ball within the singles court is crazy good , damn she can play
Take note that "Sensational Serena" returned that 138mph serve within the tennis court parameters of a 'singles match' rather than the larger court size that playing doubles allows. Awesome! 💯🎾 💣💥😃 Loved seeing Serena and Andy Murray play mixed doubles. ❤💙
It looked like an accident, she was late on the shot which ended up creating a great angle. She also looked shocked afterward. There's male players who have to face this kind of serve on a routine basis.
@@CSmania1991aww little timmy cant accept that his little white darlings were absolutely destroyed obliterated by these black QUEENS! Williams sisters have 14 Wimbledon titles among them, 3 olympic titles, and every title out there😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Love watching Serena & loved it when she teamed up with Murray. They had fun. Murray has since improved as it was early days after his operation then. Now, it would be more 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💚🥎🎾
It will be a while before people realise just how good Serena was. Glad i got to see it in real time. Not just her. Davenport, Venus, Hingis, Capriati, Justine Henin, etc
@@ladaffodilion She played mixed with Andy Murray at Wimbledon a few years ago and it clearly improved her singles play. Wimbledon and the US Open are the two GS, where I believe she could do it
Andy was Serena's support player when they played doubles. Her game here is what gives me hope that she can pull get another title, because she was wrecking everyone.
Man I love this game. Lol well I love a lot of different sports. I was fortunate to attend Wimbledon in 1983 as a young Airman in the USAF. It gave me an even bigger appreciation for tennis
See how happy and surprised Serena was that she returned it. Serena herself said she would hardly win a point when playing a man yet when McEnroe said she was only the best female player ever he was berated by the media because he wouldn’t say she was just the best player ever. Crazy world these days.
Look at the female player on the other side, that ball was hit so fast she didn't see it. She was getting in position. Okay that was funny as hell. The tiny lady would never be able to hit a ball coming that fast.
@@applepie1923 That tiny lady is wearing a tiny dress like they do in tennis to increase their speed and agility and reaction time but thats still not good enough , what a shame, what's revealing their modesty good for then haha
People don’t even understand how fast and dangerous a 99mph serve is. They certainly won’t comprehend what she just did with a 138mph serve from a man. She has NO peer. Period!!
At max, she's the GWOAT, the greatest female tennis player of all time. She lost 6-1 to the 203th male tennis player of all time, she wouldn't even make the top 500 in the mens category. There's a reason why women compete only against women and men are banned from it.
Big fan of Johnny Mac, but Serena gave back a 138 mph serve! MLB sluggers don’t hit that and not too many guys can pinpoint a return off that speed! Excellence!
@Max E Navratilova is not really from the US. She just acquired citizenship here that she was only given bc she was already a famous tennis player. It's like Qatar giving Nadal citizenship.
@Max E Yes, but he was born here or grow up here. For instance, I heard that for the soccer World Cup Qatar wants to put a lot of Brazilians and foreigners on its team by giving them citizenship. So technically they are Qataris then. Navratilova had Czechoslovakian citizenship. She was born there, grew up there and learned tennis there.
WAY TO GO SERENA ☝😉YOU GOT THIS LADY!! (1)SERVE, (1) POINT AT A TIME AND KEEP YOUR BEST GRIP ON YOUR RACKET 1!! I GARUANTEE YOU WILL COME THROUGH EACH MATCH, (1) POINT AT A TIME ☝🙏🙏🙏😇💓💓💓💓SEEING AND CELEBRATING YOUR RETURN IN GOD'S TIME😉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎈🎈🎈
Lol😂😂😂 if u watched rhe whole game u would understand why men and women's sports R COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. yes!!! She got this one, and what? 2 more? 1 more? 😂
There’s not a lot in the world that I feel lucky to have lived through… watching Serena Williams live and meeting her in her prime is one of those lucky escapes. Unbelievable human
The rerun was a block, the placement was luck, but at 138 getting your strings on it is an accomplishment. And hats off to roddick for not patronizing Serena and letting it rip.
