It must be good to beat your opponent and still able to give them a note taking run down on their good qualities and let them know there is room for improvement. Serena is playing very, VERY good in this match. Better than I have seen her play in the last few months. If she keeps it up or gets better she will be unstoppable and have a good tournament/slam run.
Serena was totally gracious after that match. People never pay attention to that. Only pay attention to the negatives, but she's always been a pretty humble player
From Mertens one can always expect a battle. She has an amazing future ahead. Definitely an amazing athlete. I wonder what Serena told her at the net? Such humility she always exudes. These are the finer qualities that make her the greatest tennis player of all time.

I hope so, she has made 3 finals and lost all imagine shed be at 26 major wins, JUST WOW. BUT unfortunately shes still the BEST ever at 23. Too old yet Serena made 3 slam finals in 6 appearances since childbirth and Venus made 2 slam finals in 2017..... that’s way more than most women on the tour.
