Hey Gert, good question. No, the connecting cabin had no noise level at all. The rooms actually have two doors between them and both are sound proof as well as a regular wall. We had no issues with noise from other cabins! (that's not to say that if you get a really rowdy family next to you that you won't hear them, you still probably can, but any reasonable guest noise you won't be able to hear :))
This was a pretty standard non-suite cabin. It's the same layout as a balcony room just with a window instead of a balcony. Cruise ships are definitely known for their tiny bathroom and shower spaces hahah
