This is the first of three tutorials for this exciting piece. As far as I know I am the only person on RU-vid that plays a version very close to Julian Bream's transcription. This is because I spent many hours transcribing JBs version that he plays here on RU-vid.

My Acoustic Guitar Lessons and acoustic guitar lessons will help you to learn to play the guitar. I cover a wide range of guitar music and each of my guitar lessons comes complete with matching guitar tabs and guitar sheet music. These online guitar tutorials are a one-stop shop giving you an effective means of learning beautiful guitar music without needing a teacher in your local area.
You don't need to be able to read tab or sheet music to play any of the songs in these guitar lessons but they can be a powerful tool that can assist you to become a better musician. All guitar tabs for my lessons are free and can be downloaded easily from our website or for a very small fee you can also purchase the guitar sheet music that contains standard music notation with guitar tabs underneath, suggested left & right-hand fingerings, and performance indications.
I hold a Licentiate in Performance Classical Guitar with Distinction from the Trinity College of London and I love arranging music for guitar. I have well over 20 years of teaching experience at many schools in New Zealand and also at one school in Dubai, and privately in Bahrain. I have taught people from all ages and skill levels and continue to do so via RU-vid.

Hi Joshua. It took me a long time to take the decision to write this comment but ... is everything okay ? In recent times, I used to see you play a new piece every week, and I have to say that I found it very pleasant. As I already had the opportunity to tell you by mail, I owe you a lot : it's thanks to your work (tutos, tabs, the whole pack of it !) that I decided to seriously learn to play the guitar. If I can henceforth seriously work Bach's Chaconne, I owe it to you ! Anyway... I really hope that everything's fine for you and that you have left RU-vid for some good reasons. Hi Kevin, Everything is ok and you have no idea how wonderful your comment makes me feel. I have taken time off from RU-vid because I was focusing on preparing pieces for my FTCL exam and I just needed a break. As you have already mentioned I put a vast amount of work into the videos, transcriptions, website etc. I think a lot of people don't realise how many hours of work are involved in fully completing one upload with everything that goes along with it.I'm pretty sure I'll start up again not too far from today :) Mate, it's really awesome to know that there are people out there that actually care about me and truly appreciate what I have shared online. I wish you all the best and I hope that everything is fine with you and that the Chaconne doesn't break your fingers and brain hahahaha! Kia ora from Aotearoa!

Hey there. :) So glad to read that ! I guess you're right : we just can't imagine how much work is necessary to do all of that. I have a friend who makes transcriptions "just for fun" (as he says...), and he told me several times that it's really an all-time job. Concerning the fact that a lot of people care about you, I suppose that it just totally makes sense. I can't imagine that I'm the only one that you inspired. You deserve it, and that's one of the magical aspects of Internet communities. To be honest, the Chaconne is breaking a lot of things, and the fingers aren't my only problems. I plan to be able to play it one day, but I'm not that fool : I'll never handle it. Good luck with your exam... or, more exactly, good work : I guess luck has nothing to do with it.

The staff lines on printing out the download are incredibly light. Very hard to read .

@@nbnguitar I'll try something else, but I've never had this problem with any other scores (like Kindgren's arrangements) downloaded. I'm working here with the staff version, not the tabs. Maybe the font is too small ??? It looks about 1/2 size by comparison with other scores.
