I just step in my back yard and find everything that you mentioned and the ones I can't find, I seeded and they are now thriving in my herbal garden. As I grew up surrounded by nature, I feel more at home outside than indoors. Thank you for this refreshing close of my day.

You are fortunate!!! My husband and I just bought a house and a good part of it is a forest - - but conditional on the sale of our home.... which may happen tomorrow!

I actually crave walks in a forest, particularly those that aren’t the kind you have to pay to visit. Real childhood kinds of forests. Thanks for the lovely video.😊

I crave it too. I am so fortunate that I live in an area in which there are many forests - - and no parking or other fees.

Didn't know Valerian was out this way.... I may have confused it with Boneset....? That is awesome, TY, Karen! 🫡 Yes, the few random bits of accessible forest are truly priceless!🌿🌼🌞

I need to do this. I have a few things on my list of plants to find. Sassafras is one, stinging nettle is another.

Lucky you Karen, seems one of the local paths has been taken over with Poison Parsnip

Wild parsnip roots are edible - best when young!

@@EdibleWildFood-1 with a light sprinkling of ticks. Is poison parsnip still edible in the fall? Someone mentioned it but I took their comment with a grain of salt

@@brucewayne2091 I would not eat them now or into the autumn. Lol...light sprinkle of ticks .... in all seriousness though ticks are bad news!
