I can't wait 'till someone slaps Fox suspension into an EUC. It's amazing what issues we tolerate (faulty sliders, dinky air pistons, outright wrong kinematics, & cheap shocks, to name a few) when suspension at this 'size' has been figured out for a decade with moto & mtb.
This is the second mention of braking performance that I know of on this channel (there are probably more). In another video the braking compared to an electric bicycle was poor but in that case and this case no real numbers were given. For example, in BC Canada, the rules for a "Motor Assisted Cycle" (which does not exclude EUCs) requires: "The braking system must be capable of bringing the motor assisted cycle, while being operated at a speed of 30 km/hr, to a full stop within 9 m from the point at which the brakes were applied." If this is "good enough" for a bicycle, then it is good enough for an EUC. It is probably, even if other countries don't have exactly the same spec, a great starting point to look at safety of EUCs. Looking at the centre of mass for a bicycle and realizing that the rider is _not_ thrown over the handle bars for this amount of braking performance (or better), it should be possible to get similar performance out of EUCs without the rider having to lay down. I would like to see a brake test or stop test from 30kmh as part of your reviews. I think reviews do have some small effect on EUC design and if reviews show a stopping distance from a specific speed and their wheel shows poorly against another, things will change. This is probably more of a safety subject than water proofing for example but not well covered. Thank you for your detailed reviews.
this gives me an idea( new to eucs), could i just hang thewheel pedals off the top of a mtb fork so i get suspension, or use a moto fork that is upside down and hang it from the side, maybe even take a 12 inch scooter wheel and tire and put a motor into that?
Great job! I've to admit, the Begode T4 body is actually great as a base for modding, such a modular wheel. What a nice project! This wheel is a monster, even chargeports, everything has changed hahaha Rad. I see It even has velcro on it for some pads haha I'd suggest to replace the tire tho, seems worn out. Nice! Cheers mates 🤙🏻 Good job
SERG IS THE GOAT !!! We all need a Serg in our friend group. How you gonna call the company ? InSergtion ? Sergode ? OH !! KING SERG !!! I vote for King Serg.
That is great, I like it alot lightweight with power and range. Change the name though, first choice: T Force because based on the T4), second choice Frankenwheel.
Replaceable rim is THE feature here. You have no idea how many people suffer higher-than-they-would-like-to tire pressures simply because broken rim means replacing the whole expensive motor...
That is Amazing! Great job. Roboticists of the future! One thing I just thought about tho. Aluminum, and copper work as breaks against magnets. The stronger, and faster they move against each other, the stronger the breaking effect. The battery pack may need to be a different material. Something to think about. Anyway, great job!
3200wh is the sweet spot tbh. 3000wh is nice too. 3600 is ok, but honestly too much battery and not needed for those super long range since, who does 70 miles without charging? No one.
So whats the point? T4 weighs 30kg@1.8kWh. 1.4kWh weighs 5kg. If you need 3.2kWh wheel just get a t4 slap on additionall battery and there you go - same result at a quarter of the complexity
Awesome project! The only thing that scares me (slightly) is the motor connector hanging in the wheel-house. The convenience is great, but the possibility of it coming loose while riding...
Out of subject, but maybe you could be interested in the new law we have here in Quebec, Canada. The only EUC it will allow are the size of small EUC toys (Even an Inmotion V5f or a Kingsong 14D are too powerful according to this new law). So basically, from July 20, all 'adult' EUC will be forbidden on any public rorad or bicycle path. A complete ban. I'm so angry and ashamed of this. BTW, great wheel from Serg !
He wrong way great content. I have 2 questions :1// I have a Sherman , can you ride on 50% of the batteries ( on Sherman motherboard) serge does, maybe this is a question for him. 2// I also have a kingsong, you start you s22 by pushing the button ( without the app?) is this a setting? How do you do that? I really get annoyed by the kingsong app and its bad Bluetooth connection. Many thanks Matthias
At one point after a lot of offroad riding, the connector for one side of my batteries broke a wire. I went for a ride and was getting less than half the range. Came home, opened it up, and found the problem. I could still ride full speed, but it was killing the range because it was like I started from 50% state of charge.
