@@MajorAlex you say that like it's a bad thing, he looks better in the og timeline but maybe his look will change in the new one as time goes on since he's less experienced currently
Dude was more ruthless, then again he’s basically a older experienced Soap so who knows where this one is gonna be by the end of his story (be it death or the end of the Rebooted MW campaign story, hopefully not death again).
soap in mw reboot: “Y-Y-Yes sir! I will bring your daughter back home safely at precisely 20:30 sharp! Oh, 18:00-? Y-Yes sir!” soap in og mw: *”your daughter called me daddy too”*
Let's see how Soap's character development will be in the reboot franchise. Tbh I like both the OG soap and the new one too. The new one got more dialogues and his chemistry with ghost is a new addition. I hope they don't kill him off.
Keep in mind, the Soap we meet in MW22 is what OG Soap was like as an FNG. Just a goofy kid. There's still plenty of time for him to harden up. He's only like 27 or 28 in MW22. Not to mention OG Soap lost his ENTIRE team and his mentor (or so he thought) very early in his career. That's why he's so much more stoic and hard.
@@animarcs you mean the ending in mw2019? when price talked about setting up 141? that dont count. it only counts when the character took part in the game, not the name.
@@sethperry846 I'm saying that there are only 2 games of the reboot, and new Soap most probably be in the 3rd one too; so it's too early to say what OP said
Here’s what I’ll say. I love the original MW trilogy. Soap then was an experienced SAS officer who’s a true leader and the badass leader of 141. Here, he’s a noncom learning the ropes still but is still selfless and is constantly throwing himself into the middle of the mission because he knows it’s what he has to do. I wait with baited breath for Modern Warfare 3 (202#). Hopefully we see Soap with some more experience but still learning new things from hopefully Captain Ghost (make Ghost 141’s commander)
I mean, soap is captain so he had some authority now the reboot has him learning all sorts of stuff from ghost and seems like ghost is experienced granted from all the comics they made about him.
I view them as different characters. OG Soap is what Gaz is to Price in the reboot while Johnny is more of Ghost's protege. Gaz I believe is more of the true replacement for OG Soap while new Soap is more of a replacement for Roach.
Of course the strength will go to the OG soap, cuz, how in bloody hell can he still catch you while you were wearing a bag full of heavy things/objects during cliffhanger mission
Kids nowadays wont know the feeling of playing the whole COD4 campaign as Soap, not knowing how he looks or sounds...and then becomes your Captain in the next game.
