Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. The video was lovely. The "Take me to church" video is one of my favourites. His leaps are effortless and his running with the foot drag is amazing. Rudolph and Mikhail and Sergei are names we will always remember. I like the fact that Sergei is trying to bring dance to the masses. Amazing man with a plan.

In case you have already watched the documentary "The Dancer" which is about his life, then you 'll probably have seen the part where he explains that video. He chose the music, made the choreography and filmed it with a company as an effort to create a new path in her carreer as a ballet dancer. So "take me to church" was a video created for you tube with him dancing that specific song. The rest like mine, take scenes from this choreography and other clips and try to combine it with music :) So it goes without saying that "take me to church" is by far the best video around :)

Thanks you for that. I'm not that up to date on these tech things. I haven't seen the dancer and wondered how you personally made the video. Have you ever seen him live?

I haven't seen him personally :( I live in Greece and he has never performed here (as far as I know). Almost half of the scenes are from the documentary. The tattoo on his foot is a greek word meaning Achilles. I picked up the song "Caruso" because it's mentioned in the documentary that this has always been one of his favorite to dance using his own choreography and there is a scene, where he is dressed in black where he's actually dancing this particular song. All the other scenes are taken from that documentary, the videoclip "take me to church" and other footage uploaded on RU-vid. I just tried to match his favorite song with scenes that already existed in RU-vid to create the illussion that he's dancing to this specific music while the truth is, that he 's actually dancing to this song only for a few seconds :)

Don't stress about it. It was the "take me church" video which caught my attention. (I watch dancers for ages on RU-vid) and then I watched "the dancer" and then I discovered more videos online etc :) Don't worry, a lot of people, including me, discovered him almost by "accident"

As Nureyev was advised,it’s not so much about how high you can jump but how long you can hang in the air which captivates an audience and boy can Sergei seem to defy gravity.Bravo!

The song is one of Sergei's favorites choices to dance and the point where he's dancing at his old dance school he is actually dancing to this. I just did the editing because I wanted to have a video with his favorite music on it. I am glad that you enjoyed it :)

This is your opinion and I respect it. On the other hand it's his body and he is entitled to do whatever he wants with it. Each tattoo is a symbol of something that has a special meaning for him. It's his own memoirm written with ink on his body instead of paper. No tattoo is random. Apart from him being a talented dancer he's a human being with his own life story :)

The song is called Caruso and it's a cover by Luciano Pavarotti, a famous opera singer. It's mentioned at "the dancer" documentary that this song in particular is one of Sergei Polunin's favorite songs to dance, that's why I chose this particular song for the video. :) Thank you for your comment :)
