Sergei Prokofiev - Symphony No. 1 in D Major 'Classical Symphony', op. 25 I. Allegro Casco Phil - The Chamber Orchestra of Belgium Benjamin Haemhouts, Conductor March 2013 - Amuz - Antwerp (BE)
I heard this in the car again today. When I was extremely young, when we only had black and white televsion in the UK, there was a time at the weekend when there would be one children's TV series on the black and white television in t he 1960s and this music was the music played as the closing music of one particular series. I cannot the programme now but I remember the music and I would listen to every second until it ended as the credits died away. Since then I have performed so very much music and I sing and play every day but it is incredible how music can etch into your mind which has been heard over 50 years ago. I hope we can all try to expose our children to as much wonderful music as we can. I have certainly tried with my 5. I hope its impact never leaves them. That theme is incredible. Well played. Well done. You have taken me back 50 years today.
Could the tv series you remember the music from be The Flaxton Boys? That’s why I’m here. Now I’m going to listen to the 4th. movement. Edit: I’m back after having listened to the 4th. movement and I’m sure that the 4th. movement is from the start of The Flaxton Boys episodes.
