Holy @#$%!!!!!! This seriously impresses me. This sounds almost identical to the original organ version. I had no idea the accordian was capable of producing this level of amazing. Mad props to the performer. This is a masterpiece
As a former accordian player, I am not worthy to even play or listen to this RU-vid video of his performance. It is truly a blessing and by grace that we can be awed like this...and for free!!!
I've honestly never really listened to an accordion before, I never realized how similar it sounds to an organ. This is probably my new favorite instrument, it looks and sounds so cool.
I've never seen something like this in my whole life... I'm awestruck. No amount of words can describe the appreciation of the effort, time and talent you invested in preparing this. Played flawlessly.
Greetings from Chicago USA. Thank you Sergei and all the Russian people who made this video possible for our enjoyment. Some day I'd love to visit your country and get to know you better.
This had me in tears! I love the Toccata and Fugue on the organ, but this is Absolutely beautiful! I have never heard the Accordian played so expertly! Stunning!!
That must be a bayan. Once played one wich was 5x more worth than my car :D (15k). The sound was amazing and the play quality too (tonal response and all that). My current accordeon is just worth 2x my car. When i have a car crash i hope noone crashes in my back. I prefer the front xD
@Konstantin Ridaya true, I have one older Jupiter for classic music and one accordion Guerrini President Champion, for Balkan melodies. Different tuning, the Jupiter has Richer sound
Amazing! This is what makes RU-vid fantastic. I was recommended this clip by the algorithm and got more than I was expecting. It must have been amazing to be there. Lucky audience.
Bach would've been so proud. Could not get any better! Incredible accordion and perfect performance! Btw, that was the most beautiful bass sound I've ever heard.
+Anas Shoqar Yeah, that bass is incredible! I didn't even know you could get such a full rich bass on an accordion. (Of course, until I heard this, I never imagined this piece could be played on accordion to begin with!)
You are reacting to the greatest composer of all time. A man whose talent knew no national boundaries. His music sounds awesome even when performed on instruments that did not exist in his day.
I honestly was not expecting this to be anywhere near that good, but this sounded almost just like it was played on a full organ, with even most of the pedal notes! This blew my mind! Well, now I have 3 different versions of this one song saved in my music bookmarks!
The other two are one that's just a great quality recording and the other is Steven Malinowski's version (smalin on youtube), a music professor who makes amazing graphical visual representations of the notes.
You might make it four versions if you watch and listen to "Infinity"..a 15-piece electric guitar ensemble..they are, like this artist....INCREDIBLE!!..but I bet you can't begin to imagine how they are going to sound...till you hear them!!
I wish I had seen this video when I was taking lessons at 6 years old so I could see what I was building to! Maybe I’d have kept on and be even a fraction as good as this. This is a blessing and joy. Thank you!
Honestly as a complete know-nothing about the accordion, who would ever think of this instrument being played like this and as being absolutely spellbinding - what an eyeopener! Fantastic 👍
After listening to this rendition and Xaver Varnus' one plenty times over, I finally found out why I like this one best. The basses in here sound just so way better and more clear than in the pipe organ. It's truly impressive
Both are incredible renditions. Where here the basses are more clear, the pipe organ just outputs so much power and the sound is so visceral that this piece was made for it. Both interpretations are 10/10, that's for sure.
FANTASTISCH! Ein Meister spielt ein Meisterwerk von einem Meisterkomponisten der barocken Musik: Johann Sebastian Bach. Toccata und Fuge. Ich bin begeistert!
Magnificent!! To think there is a man that can play one of the most heavenly pieces of music on an accordion... virtuoso. I once heard a recording of the Toccata and Fugue in D minor played on a full-scale, church-sized pipe organ. And you... you played the portable version. This is truly a treasure of a performance, and I could not be happier. Truly, magnificent. Well played.
That's because it operates in pretty much the same manner. Music has to be written specifically for an accordion or a pipe organ if you want it to sound good on either. Not all music sounds good on all instruments.
Einfach meisterhaft... Maravillado y felicitaciones
I don't understand why Sergei have only 12.300 K subscriber with over 3 Millions of view. Shame on who don't subscribe to the channel after listen this Master accordion player. Amen * 😇💚🤍❤👋👋👋👍
@@5610winston There are some arguments, but regarding Mendelssohn being responsible for making Bach's music popular at his time, for sure he would have ensured that he is known as author if he was.
@@5610winston I am basing my argument by ear, and if that is not acceptable, then it is fine, you do not have to hear me out. But this is all I can say: A) No other composer I know of, those two included, ever composed contrapunctally in the way we see in the Fugue. B) a hallmark of Bach is that you can hear compositions of his, in other compositions of his. Here, you can hear parts from: BWV 532, 535, 541, 542, 547, 582 and probably many others, just going off memory here. C) Similar to point B. This mystery composer, if not Bach, had nailed the "Bach style" in the Fugue down to a tee, such that I'm wondering, was it that the original composer was forgotten, or did he just make this "Bach like" contrapunctus one time, and never did anything like it again? I am not talking about who is "better" or not. My argument for this being Bach isn't because the piece is iconic, and I want to 'preserve' his reputation. To me the music, and not not the reputation, is what matters. For me, from hearing, I can see why the Toccata would be under dispute; to me, it is not something you can hear on it's own and say, "yeah, this was definitely Bach and no one else". The way the lines interact with each other, that so far only Bach was able to sustain (composers like Handel, Lübeck and Buxtehude sometimes did this sparingly, or just couldn't do so up to the same level), is not found in the Toccata. To me the debate should be on whether the Toccata was composed by Bach or not. But as for the Fugue? If you've listened to other composers and Bach, you see that this is either Bach, or someone who went to great lengths to not only copy his style, but also pick from his other compositions, and put this together quite well. No Fugue that Mozart or Mendelssohn, or anyone else that I have heard, for that matter, ever sounded like this, or sounded like any of Bach's other keyboard fugues. Take the 8 little Preludes and Fugues. Sure, scholarly debate is there, but if you're familiar with Bach, you'll know they probably weren't composed by him. Even Bach's 'simple' preludes and fugues, such as those in WTC 1 and 2 are different from those 8, in the way contrapunctal devices are used. To me all the scholarly debate can rage on, but until one day we discover another composer who could manipulate contrapunctally like Bach did, or better, I do not see how anyone we know of now could have written the Fugue. It makes more sense to me that this Fugue, with so much in common with Bach's other fugues, and written in the way he wrote so many of his other fugues, and with episodes having so much in common with episodes from other his other fugues, was probably written by Bach... ... than by someone else, despite no other composer we know of having music that sounds like Bach's. Maybe it's a musical ear thing. Forgetting reputation and preference, and just focussing on the music, some people believe the likes of Handel and Buxtehude composed similarly to Bach. Sure they were all Baroque. But Bach could mix lines together in combination for hours, and these guys did it for literal _seconds_ , just a few bars here and there. Same for Mozart, and all the other well knowns. I understand that surrounding Bach, some people think he was wildly different from other composers. Some don't see it and think he was simply different. This is not a criticism of those who think other wise. I am in the first category. Just perhaps explains why there's such fierce debate. Maybe it's like marmite. Some people see a big difference, some people don't see a big difference between Bach's style and others. For these reasons I don't believe any other composer currently known of, could have written the Fugue. Maybe the composer of the Toccata was someone else. But the Fugue is Bach all over.
Have just spotted this on RU-vid. What a musician!! All from memory and so true to the score. Pure joy in listening to this rendition and respect for Mr.Teleshev.😀
