Hello! My blades do not seem to come close enough together. They are raised and lowered as far as they go and they just don’t match up. It was working fine and then randomly stopped because the knives don’t reach each other. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! 🙏🏻
Hello sir how to replace the upper knife?please help me so i can replace it coz its already dull i have already the new one but its very hard to remove the old one how to remove it?
A 10mm ratchet worked for me. I will note that the manual states that the lower knife should not have to be replaced as it is made from special materials. However if it is damaged, it should go to dealer. I was able to replace mine. My serger is from the 90's. You will need to exercise care about where the stop is on the round knob to the right. You may have to use your ratchet to spin the bolt so that the blade aligns correctly and the stop allows the blade to spring flush left to the lower knife if something gets rotated out of line (as mine did).
There are different ways depending on the make and model. See the video at about 2:30 on to see about moving the upper knife. On this machine you would loosen the screw on the left of the upper knife, slide the knife out, slide the new one in and tighten with the upper knife in the correct position.
