Sergio Perez is AT RISK!! 

What I noticed from the start of the season was that the original car development seemed to almost be a mixed bag. Where are they were unsure how much direction exactly they needed to take it, so it didn’t have the understeer/oversteer that is preferred by the two drivers. However, unfortunately the two drivers that rebel currently has prefer different things. One is significant understeer. One is significant oversteer, I feel like that’s where the problem lies because developmentally they can build a car that’s great for Max but in doing so it’s going to be Perez weakness for the car. I feel like the problem is with the development going towards a driver that has such strong preferences. They need a second driver with the same preferences. I’m still very curious on if one Daniel Ricardo did the tire test that really impressed Redball if he was driving a Max set up because from what I recall he used to drive a very similar set up to max which would lead to success if they were teammates again, because it would be a car geared towards what Max likes and it would be what Daniel is used to. Unfortunately for Perez unless Max retires, that team will never build a car to his style they will always prefer the more consistent driver that wins them titles and has been with them long-term. The only way I could see paras being able to stay in the sport is if he leaves because this is destroying his reputation. Rumour has it that he asked for an old set up back on his car but he was refused by Red Bull. That being said, I could very much see him requesting that because he might’ve wanted to go back to what had worked for him when he won a few races before the development one significantly in maxes favour. I think the only way to break that second driver curse that rebel has had for the past few years will be to put Daniel back in that car as much as people think Daniel is overrated I went and re-watched some of the races when Max and Daniel were teammates, I think Daniel spend the closest of any of Max teammates. And the fact that in the tire test he jumped in a Red Bull and would’ve been front row speaks a lot to what he can do when a car is tailored to the way that he’s used to one thing that many seem to forget is that Daniels career was mainly with Red Bull when he had success. And one thing I’ve noticed. If you’re successful with Red Bull, you will not be anywhere near as successful elsewhere. Looking back, there’s no denying that there was talent in Pierre Gazley, and Alex Albon but the environment didn’t suit them, and they were put into situations that were far beyond what they were ready for setting them up for failure. And when they left at environment, they got more successful, and our seeming a lot more confident behind the wheel. However, I didn’t look at Daniel, who had success of red bull and Sebastian Vettel who also had success at ripple, and it seems like if you do well, it rebel when you leave, you will not have nearly the same success, because when they left, neither of those two drivers were in my opinion, anywhere near as good as they were when they were with Red Bull. That environment is one that you either thrive under or will make you crumble and break. I’m very glad that Alex and Pierre left and went and found better environments especially Alex as he seems to really be doing well with Wiliams and like that environment suits him very well. Pierre also seems to be doing well since leaving Red Bull. Be at the senior team or the junior team. Red ball is the same environment cutthroat and aggressive not everyone will thrive in that atmosphere and that’s OK but it does not seem like it’s a conducive atmosphere for Perez considering the car is not going into development way that’s going to shoot him due to his preference being the opposite of maxes. The best option they have is Daniel up with Max and bringing Lawson in full time to partner Yuki.
