Looks like the ground wire is connected too, trying to up date my unit in 2024, retro stuff is great,spent days trying to get it to work!, may need windows 98 to do it!

he could atleast show what cables are connected. it looks like only 2 are connected but there is also a black wire

No way, for connecting garmin units its pin 2 , 3 and 5 which is the ground wire@@DRNEGOLICIS
