The best a league has ever been. Serie A the late 80's. Some fantastic players and some great goals.
The three Germans in Inter, the three Dutch in Milan, Baggio while still at Fiorentina with Dunga, Vialli/Mancini at Sampdoria, Napoli with their three Latin American's, Zavarov, Laudrup, Altobelli at Juventus, Giannini, Conti and Völler at Roma and plenty of other names.

Serie a sucks nowdays. Back then there was class even in the bottom tier teams like lecce ascoli cesena .now the players are all primadonna's and are too busy about their own image and their social media pages than their game. Thats why soccer today will never be anything like this era of the 90's

This first season was his only truly successful campaign with them, unfortunately for him. Luckily for him and Italy though that he did join in this season, because otherwise he surely wouldn't have been picked for the World Cup and had such a memorable tournament.Interesting for me to see Stefano Desideri, who I vaguely remember from a few years later (I think playing for Inter) as a fairly unspectacular midfielder, scoring a fair few goals and stylish ones too.

Going through my old videos made me search for this, brilliant that it's on here - the 10 year old me knew most of the commentary on this; loved Dezotti & always had a soft spot for Cremonese because of this!
