100 percent right. I have tried other makes of tools and they just don’t match up. However some other makes do have some great stuff and very clever innovations but the quality doesn’t match. Thanks for your comment and support

Couple of questions... Not sure if I missed it or not? What was the thickness of the insulation you used? What was the purpose of 2 lots of ply floor? Could you not have just skipped putting the original back in and glued to the insulation?

25mm insulation with the original floor on top of that. 12.5mm Kai Wah plywood to top it off. The purpose of the two layers of ply is to make the floor rigid. We hope this helps!

If you didn't have a ply floor already on the van, do you have a method of making a template for it?

Yes absolutely. There are several ways to make templates. You could simply put news paper on the floor, cut it to shape and tape all of the pieces together, then transfer it to your plywood. I prefer to by lining paper or card which is stiffer and cut it to shape. It doesn’t have to be perfect because you can add in exactly the same was as shown in the video any deficits. Then put it on your plywood. I hope this helps and we are happy to assist more if you need it. Regards the Cooped Up Campers Team

May I ask chaps, will you be addressing vapour barriers issues or if required, it's ok insulating and tackling moisture control if you have air flow, in van conversion terms hows best to tackle or prevention, your thoughts gents

We have been looking at this for months. I’ve not been persuaded previously that it’s been necessary, however we have decided to use a foil sheet closed cell vapor barrier on this build at the request of our customer. You will see this in due course.

We always used airflow to control damp per se in the van I have previously converted. Good airflow to remove and replace the damp air. Using this principle in conjunction with the vapor barrier should hopefully have a positive effect.
