@@beek.4860i think he did that often too in 0revious series, it's just that they used to remove it in the edit. Now they started including it more, around series 11 I think?
Ok see I did go there to check, cause I thought, sure there's some but not that many. Over 450 at the moment of my checking. Here's the kicker though, do any of them actually showcase good tasks? We'll never know...
Jenny Eclair is officially national treasure status after this episode. I loved her pure joy during the "industrial chic" potato task. And the lock of hair from her dad was amazing. She talks a bit about it on the podcast but she never really knew what her father did for military service because it was so dangerous and secretive. She has so much fun just being there.
@@Taolan8472Yes! Jenny apparently has wanted to be on Taskmaster for years. She mentions this in the TM podcast that she drove her agents crazy trying to get on Taskmaster because she knew she would have the time of her life.
Climbing up to yell at golfers is so good. You have to figure that anyone golfing *right next to* the Taskmaster house is hoping for a little zaniness now and then
It's crazy how good Mae is at Taskmaster. And I only on this watch through noticed that Jenny's observation that the caravan was damp was a little hint that the skylight was open and there may be something out there.
On a show with a lot of silly bumbling, they are shockingly competent sometimes. It's happened before where contestants are surprisingly athletic or just very driven and competitive but Mae seems to be a real problem/puzzle solver who doesn't get too flustered.
Ivo has the best quotes this episode, my favorite has got to be the matter of fact way he says “I am weak, and cowardly, so I’ll be very happy to take the role of victim” 😂 34:31
the fact that he automatically assumes the fight is composed of perpetrator and victim instead of, say, two willing participants says a lot about his experiences
I remember in much earlier series when he insisted on splitting team task points out of 5 (like 1 + 4, or 2 + 3) but now he’s given in to Greg usually giving out 5 and 3 😂 I was wondering if he’d ever mention it again
I love Jenny, she embraced the wonder and insanity of this show; she is laughing at the ridiculous, yet hilarious task. Also I don't think I've ever seen Frankie more at peace. The challenges seem to make him happy.
I feel so bad for Mae’s first task. Not only did they very quickly notice the mirror and understood its purpose, but also guessed the time incredibly correctly despite being fought by the rain that stopped the clock.
Exactly! I was waiting for them to complain that they basically got unfairly penalized with a broken clock, but they somehow completely nailed the time without it!
@@badpost_opUnder two comments using "they" you use "she"... How can one miss by that much? Mae is non-binary, if you still hadn't figured that out by now
Ivo and Kiell were such opposites. One with all the confidence, yet none of the points, the other seeming to bumble around, yet stumbles his way to success.
The problem was the order in which it was introduced. Under no circumstances would it ever have upstaged Jenny's father's hair. But to have to introduce the somewhat lame pun of it right after Jenny's doomed it. Franky's was funny. But not heroic.
jenny's pure and unadulterated joy during the potato task is so good, im probably going to edit together a clip of her doing that task so i can watch it to cheer myself up on bad days
@@MB-kx6joOption 1: You are operating under the misconception that gender neutral pronouns must be plural, in which case you should look up the history of the word "they," which has been used as a singular pronoun in documents dating from the 14th century. Option 2: You are unaware that Mae's pronouns are they/them, in which case now you know. Option 3: It bothers you when a stranger on the Internet uses another stranger on the Internet's preferred pronouns to the extent that you felt completed to write a passive aggressive comment, in which case I have wasted my time writing this reply. I really hope it's option 1 and/or 2
@@jt5426 Its cute to see you guys trying to top each other in virtue signalling^^ Honestly, if THIS is the sort of problems you care about in life, you must be on top of the socioeconomic ladder. Good for you! It nevertheless is "her", maybe "it" if I feel like accepting the illusion of the non-binarity of gender. cheerio!
My love for this show and it’s quality has not wained a single bit after 15 series. There aren’t very many (if any) other TV programs that I can make the same claim.
It slumped for me with the dense 'IT crowd' girl who brought nothing, and Mike farting on the plane. But this series is so enjoyable. No one is copping out.
@@Icefierastar that’s more what I figured, just was surprised Mississippi was in the pool at all but makes sense with how many American movies and shows that get shown there
37:27 Ivo and Frankie's fight is a 100% accurate rendition of how it looked when you tried to play the PC version of Mortal Kombat on a 16 MHz machine.
I'm loving this season! The potato task was, indeed, so stupid, and great! I was afraid they were going to disqualify Mae for touching the hat or Jenny and Frankie for touching the pen (despite, obviously, *giving* it to them), because this show does love their gotchas!
Well I'm proud of myself for getting all the questions right on the sausage quiz when I didn't even know any of those facts previously OR had the sheet to read/turn over.
This group is wonderful, especially Jenny! What a delightful person! Her absolute joy at the potato task is infectious and I feel like spending a day with her would be a unique and marvelous adventure. I’m so happy that Taskmaster has introduced me to all of these wonderful comedians throughout the seasons.
the amazing thing about Frankies timing is, that he said he panicked at 17 min. in the end he was 3 min over. so when he panicked that was his internal chronometer telling him to leave the caravan.
Alex recognizing the hard work that was put into those fanfictions is very cool. Some of them are literally touching stories. There is this one with David Mitchell and Alex, It has 12 chapters, and I almost cried in some chapters.
I'm so glad Alex acknowledged fanfic on the air🎉 Now I'm as gleeful as Jenny in her potato hat, but for me the joy is from falling down a new ao3 hole of TM fics 😂❤
I hope before the end of this season they point out that a past contestant (Charlotte) has played the significant other of both Mae AND Kiell and Idk it just would be super satisfying for them to address it. I love the Taskmaster cinematic universe
This cast made me realize exactly what it takes for a perfect group, people who take the tasks seriously enough to want to win, but simultaneously remember its all about putting on a great show. my least favorite cast members have been the ones who mostly either don't even give tasks a real try, or the ones who try way too hard. the last few seasons have been pretty fantastic in assembling a group who are just here to have a great time
just love Gregs and Alexs dynamic, i couldn't imagine two people more fitting for their roles as TM and Assistant. always love when Alex genuinely laughs about Gregs dumb jokes, 16:13 so cute
As a viewer from the Pacific Northwest, USA, I find one of my absolute favorite things to do is watch TM and listen for the tweet tweet tweets in the audio. Then I imagine I’m one of those fortunate British birds that has a cameo video appearance on the show. 🐦 🦅 🎵
Well, you'll be glad to know they already put the outtakes for series 15 on this channel. Part one was released four months ago, and part two was released two months ago.
Jenny having the time of her life with the potato hat task, then groveling at the thought of being disqualified made me laugh so hard. I wish she was my nan.
21:55 at 9:14 the task says SAME LENGTH OR SHORTER it does not specify letter count only 'LENGTH" thereby implying that physical length would be acceptable
realized over this past week that the only song my baby recognizes is the taskmaster theme song because I was watching a ton of it while he was in the oven. still not sure if I like that or not
I want Jenny Eclair to be my grandma. "Grandma Jenny I'm hungry!" " here would you like a spud." "Grandma Jenny lets Play a game." " I know a perfect game. But we need more spuds!" 😂
Munya did the same in the previous series. Also this will likely never be broken since there has only ever been one occasion contestants have been DQd on a prize task, and that was when Jess and Rhod got the year wrong for “Best thing from the 90’s”, and I think both scored more than 1 in the task that followed.
The trick to write 40 words while making sure each word is the same length or shorter than the previous one isn't to start with really long words, it's to only use words that exactly 4 letters long. There are thousands of words of that length in the English language, and they're mostly very easy words to think of. Just look at how many of them are present in this very comment.
Got so caught up enjoying the episode that I forgot to like. Came back to do that. Thanks for continuing Taskmaster and posting it on RU-vid. All the best.
No outro music this time! Genuinely miss it, I'll be frank Super grateful that all the series are available for free on RU-vid though :D Been having a ton of fun slowly watching these episodes and this series is already setting off with a super strong set of contestants, amazing start!!
@@letsmakeit110 If Mae had been disqualified for that, all of the contestants would have to be. They were all constantly touching the hat, as it's on their head
