I can't get over the fact how many little talents Nick has, and they almost never let him win tasks. Just a guy with nice thighs, who can jump pretty high, can do magic tricks without looking, write songs on a spot and probably many more I forgot about, or I simply don't know about. It hurts me each time his attempts fail one way or another
Every so often we get to see a contestant (or contestants, in the case of The Diverse Stripes) genuinely nail a music task to the point where everyone (Greg included of course) just stop in awe at the legit musical talent. I'm so glad we got to see that with Nick.
Well, it is quite good anyway. I genuinely thought "Cool Stuff" bordered on being radio worthy. "Assistant's Day" does not enjoy that same border. Nice, though.
Glad to see Alex got to show everyone in the studio how he thought the massive plank he invested in might be used for the live studio ball-bouncing task - and showed it so well in fact, he infected Greg with a childish joy and made him try again, as well. Beautiful. 😄
The question now is, was this the last part, or were ther enough Outtakes from Episode 10 alone to warrant a fifth part? Either way, love how giddy Greg got to have a go at the live task 💌
Have you seen the Spanish version of Taskmaste? It seems like they don't edit it down at all and the episodes last like three hours. I personally think it gets old really fast, but maybe "weirdos like you" would like it.
Nick's magic trick is genuinly impressive! doing that without even seing it requires skills, and I honestly can't work out how he does it. (if you do know, please don't tell)
i love whenever behaviors of alex only previously seen in nmj bleed their way into taskmaster. if, and it's a big if, watto had been in the audience during the 'power & control' bit...
Both of the songs during that task (fucking nightmare and good enough) were awesome. But like you, I have an ear for Rosalind and sing it all the time, lol.
Yay, more outtakes! I think Greg and Alex should try all the stage tasks, and we should get to see them. (I know that's not going to happen.) Nick is really a multi-talented guy, which only adds to his great likability. His entire rope trick was good - Penn & Teller need to watch their backs - as was his song. I'm glad we got to see both in the outtakes.
Nick is just ridiculously multi-talented, I urge you to look him up on 8 out of 10 does countdown were he does the card trick, I usually don't like magic tricks but that was amazing.
Charlotte "Clap with me, click with me!" Ritchie for me, followed by Jessica Knappett. I'm biased in favour of the women, but I totally fell in love with those two.
Instead of champions of champions, can we have a show/season with just people who’ve lost their season? We need to see more of Nick! He’s so sweet and so talented and deserves another round in the spotlight!
0:04 - Alex calling Greg “gramps” during mannequin task transition (episode 8) 0:35 - Alex refusing to say the distance, “Power, power, and control” chant (episode 8) 0:55 - Nick’s attempt of mannequin task (episode 8) 2:54 - Sophie beat box in studio outtake (episode 8) 3:11 - Sophie scoring face on the back of yours task outtake (episode 9) 4:15 - Live task Greg and Alex having a go outtake (episode 9) 4:58 - Greg getting a call during prize task outtake (episode 9) 5:25 - Greg moon guy story (episode 9) 6:06 - Nick’s attempt of Assistant’s Day task (episode 9)
I went to a recording of the next series and it was great! There was a brief Q and A and someone asked which task was the most expensive. Apparently, it involved a remote control spider and absolutely no-one could recall it!
I mean. Any vampire worth their salt is going to have a beautiful and, if I may say so, rather seductive song at the ready, and Nick Mohammed did not disappoint the music of the night.
The song was the same in the broadcast version, but the banter afterwards was cut (7:29 - 7:50). The magician bit was massively cut (no pun intended), 1:05 - 2:17 was all cut except him saying Daniel Paul.
Ok now I understand why Greg called the magic trick excellent, but boring. The episode edit had me thinking Greg was being too harsh. And now... I agree.
i can’t see series 17 finale :( i was playing it fine and then went home to finish it and it now says it’s not available in my country. anyone else have this issue?
This series has been a little weak and initially I couldn't work.out why as I like all the contestants. I then realised why. They are too nice! It's much better when there's arguing about petty stuff and being over competitive ( hello Ed Gamble!). I think that it's getting to the point where the show is struggling for people to get on it ( some of the ones I would live to see have already said no 😢) and also coming up with new tasks. Hoping they make it to 25 though for an ultimate champion. I can watch this show over and over (luckily, it's repeated all the time 😂) - except S8 - awful. Looking forward to finding out who is on S18 next week.....
If you can access them, check out TM Australia and NZ. They are excellent and fresh and super competitive and a great way to satisfy the craving for more TM. Also, if you speak French, the Quebecois version is really funny too!
Agreed series 8 was dreadful. Glad everyone's come round to that, although I think they're still to truly see the light, the light being that Joe Thomas is patently the worst thing about it, not the best. Otherwise I don't agree the reason is they're too nice. My favourite ever season is 12, and they couldn't have been nicer to each other. I think the show has inevitably become a victim of its own quality-people now come on it to do their thing and use it as an advert, instead of using people that most were already familiar with. (That, and the seasons are way too long.)
God wasn't S8 dreadful. I like some of them individually but as a cast it was the worst. I think them all being nice can work if they have good chemistry (eg. 4/5/12) but this series doesn't have that.
This season was a bit weak IMO, last season was ok, but season 15 was also pretty weak, they all had their moments, but the show is not what it used to be.
