Aww, it happens to all of us at some point. 😢 If you have been watching on RU-vid, check for missed episodes because some of the playlists leave some episodes out for some reason! I used the official channel for 1-15 before I caught up then found about an episode per series that was not included! Also, make sure to watch the other countries’ versions, New Year Treats, and Champion of Champions. There are also some fun homemade Taskmasters out there-usually colleges.

What have we learned today? Well, we've learned that Albania has an eagle on its national flag, Sudan has a green triangle, the boiling point of Mercury is 356.7 degrees Celsius, and similarly extremely useful pieces of information. More importantly, we learned that the sound of Stevenage is intrinsically valueless, that all vegetables have a singular form, and that Vincent van Gogh was reincarnated in 1961 as Jack Dee. The biggest thing we learned, however, was that it takes actual magic to make a winner out of this man: ANDYYYYY ZALTZMAAAAAAN!

NZ just did a variation a few weeks ago as a group task. Instead of "3D" it was "living for 10 seconds". The groups did the Mona Lisa and American Gothic. Seeing the interpretation of American Gothic bickering (as part of the task, not actually bickering between the group members) was moderately amusing but this one was so much better

The pub quiz felt like a Taskmaster Hotel-level project, but crammed into a non-finale episode... so maybe Alex's banter and Greg's outro got cut to make room. Because the prizes aren't the last section, we can hear the contestants celebrate their prizes without the music. So I always assumed the music is added in production.

Fun fact, eggplant is the only name for that vegetable that isn't related to the PIE original. Aubergine, brinjal and a number of other words for it in languages such as Arabic, Hindi, Portugese etc (basically anyone who traded in SEA) are variations of the same original word

Usually, people associated with taskmaster by being on the crew, being contestants, or being related to the international taskmaster series. The other is Taskmaster. The People's Podcast hosted by Jack Dee (a taskmaster stats nerd) and former contestant Jenny Eclair. Where they look at taskmaster a bit less professionally. But more as general viewers.

Flowers on a lamppost may signify that someone died there eg in a road accident. Jack's implying that Baba is low enough to steal flowers from a memorial in order to score points from his wife without putting in effort or spending money. Which is... quite an insult.

I'm almost always agreeing with the executive decisions made by Alex Horne and the taskmaster crew, but scoring live task with only 5 points for one person, which could have easily be otherwise distributed (in this case points according to the amount of collected stickers f.e.) is to me a bit pointless.

I don't have any problems with handing out multiple fives, but I do feel there should be some differing scores. It isn't uncommon for everyone to end up with 2 or 3 points either when there's two team tasks that are of the same level, and that's just so annoying. The only exception are scenarios where everyone crashes and burns on their task, in which case 0 across the board is fair.

Yeah, I really don't like it when there are tasks that either give one person five points or gives everyone the same amount of points. One person getting five while the others get nothing feels unfair for the other contestants because that can easily make someone who was losing win (and, like you said, some like this could easily have distributed points instead), and giving everyone the same amount of points is functionally useless.

I'm with Andy on that one: Alex was being a stickler on the definition of rocket with him, but suddenly some leafy greens is an acceptable substitute for 'a rocket'.

Breaking my brain that the show used a fake (AI?) version of the Klimt. The real one has more delicate detail (those green triangles on the man's head look more like a wreath in the real one).
