Guess what? It's time for yet another video that isn't #StillWaitingForPart6. Watch as I make every mistake in the book trying to recreate a Series 4 cottage, completely missing the obvious reference photo from Bulldog (or the Buzz Book I found later) during it's creation. But when life hands you lemons, you make Skarloey Railway refreshments, so I pushed through and made something passable.
OST isn't out yet, but will be released here when the Maunsell coach video comes out:

Kurt, I've watched the April fools video several times just for the fragments of this build. I'm so happy to see it finally released, even if it didn't meet your expectations. I'm finally doing that Theodore Tugboat replica I may have mentioned about a decade ago, and I gave up on trying to actively film every part of the build. It's hard enough just making the model! I can't wait to see the Maunsell coach video and whatever else you have laying around.

Always great seeing you around Simon! Hope the Gresley book is going well. The Thompson book was an eye-opening read, and I can never think the same about commitment to history and accuracy again!

@@1471SirFrederickBanbury it’s sold about 45% of the print run, the Gresley book. Get it quick before it goes! Glad the Thompson book had a good effect, there’s a lot I want to edit before the second edition in a few years time.

I love the way you edit these making-of videos. It's such an honest account of showing other people that mistakes were made and that's okay cus it's all part of the process. And it shows everything involved but keeps the salient points in there. Really enjoyed watching this. Nice one Kurt :)

This is great mate, I’ve built 7 Gauge 1 buildings from the show thus far and I’m currently making a custom Gauge 1 build of Toryreck station from the RWS. Great stuff!

This is why the classic series will always be superior. It helped mold us to be molders, train drivers and so much more. The reboot isn't like that and lacks charm. So this scratch build would make the creator of the cottage proud.

Hey, you fixed it! Never really liked how dark and mismatched the colors were on the original completed model from the old April Fools video on random projects you had, so the end product here is much more lovely and definitely a solid improvement overall. By the way, at 6:53 is that a Plymouth Valiant/Dodge Dart model project car?

@@74dWasTaken Eddierools nailed it - it was intended as a miniature of my '68 Satellite as an effects prop. I don't think I'm going to need it for what I have in mind, ultimately.
