This and Knightmare were the 2 shows I loved most as a child. Even watching it now makes me wish I could go back to that point in my life when everything made sense and the world and my life didn't seem so messed up 😢😢😢😢
Yes..Ed has been my favourite! Only after I watched all seasons I understood... Richard B is lively but too strict, Richard A is smart & talkative but it is mostly chatter...less focus on game. Ed is perfect ...fun, lively, balanced strict.
Personally I prefer Ed. He refreshed the show after O'Brien was getting bored of it.....and it showed in O'Brien's performance. It's the SHOW I love - not just a specific presenter. Check out Adam Conover hosting the American series- he's fantastic too !!!
@@KiyokaMakibi That's absolutely right. He took the part originally to get his face known to tv audiences but after 4 years decided to leave as he didn't want to be known as 'That Crystal Maze man'. (A bit like Ed TP too).
You know Richard felt sorry for them when he let them have that last crystal that rolled over the door seem! Loved Richard O’Brien thanks for uploading I loved the crystal maze growing up good memories.
Just keep these episodes coming,Crystal Maze TV. I’ve got all the original recordings on vhs from the 90’s...so great to see in hi quality. Who’s up for a dvd release next ??? 💎💎
I keep looking at my phone. I have this as my ringtone. I have never heard anyone else’s phone make the same noise. Some of these were filmed not far from where I lived at North Weald. I would have loved to have taken part. Richard was the best host and brought an energy to this that made it come alive. Miss this so much.
Childhood memories... Where's all the contestants now? And do you all still have those crystals? 🤩 Oh my! This show was my soul With lots of Love... A child from the 90s 😎 who watched and adore Crystal Maze and Alana
I love how they just keep yelling "Ya gotta press the buttons! Remember what ones turn off the lights!" That's literally what she's doing, shut up and let her think XD
I am so happy to see it after a long long time. I am thankful to the broadcasters for such a great show. Indeed a show lot ahead of its time. Suddenly went back 25 years😢😢😢
Nostalgia... I would have been 6 or 7 years old when I last saw this show, today I am 34. If only one could go back to those golden years of life but alas not possible.
The girl in red really should've been locked-in, not only for breaking the safety rules but also for cheating, if this was Future Richard it would be a lock-in
Imagine wanting to go on that show for years and getting onit… then being locked in on the first game then missing the rest of the show lolololollolololl
Apparently the producers would talk shit about the contestants over the presenter's ear piece, which Ed wasn't on board with. Which I think led him to go much softer on the contestants, and didn't really contribute to the atmosphere of the show.
I still remember this show use to telecast at Wednesday night and Repeatedly on Thursday evening i use to watch on Thursday evening back to home from school
32:28 Highly controversial game. They made a rule in future that if you jumped, it was an instant lock in. They didn't want anyone jumping across for safety reasons.
Watching this TV show as an adult now. i do remember watching it way back 1990's my childhood years (I'm 8 y/o grade school) and really like it.. im curious where are all those contestants now? Guy in red is cutie :D
Reminds me of golden era of Star TV when cable tv had just arrived in Bharat. Crystal Maze, Knight Rider, Planet of The Apes made my saturday noon very special.
They're in there still to this day. That's why Rich tells them it's a hard decision, do they get them out and lose 5 seconds of time? Or keep the time and have to tell their families "sorry, your mam is looked in there forever. Mumsie will make sure they're fed well enough"
There was a comedy sketch for radio years after this show went off the air. It was about woman's ongoing work to free her husband after being locked in on The Crystal Maze.
Was really rooting for Mandy on the shark game. Sadly my time travelling, psychic powers aren't active until I've had my second cup of tea. Sorry, Mandy.
