In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

It’s always odd seeing the first episode. You dont know any of them. Or what they are like. Sometimes I feel like they are inferior to the previous ones. Yet everytime as the series goes. I see their personalities and suddenly they are just as good. Once the series ends. I go back to the first episode and it feels like It was so different. Anyone else have this feeling?

Alex described this once as similar to a sitcom in the casting where you're learning who the characters are and how they interact with each other and the plot (/tasks) as you watch. So that makes sense.

@@K.RU-vid2 and a video game. You don’t have to correct people when they simply aren’t referring to something you’re familiar with, there are probably things you don’t know. Yes, there is a wardrobe in a book that works that way but the reference to “video game logic” because of the multiple fast travel methods one can find throughout the gaming world, carries more weight than “fictional logic from that one book”.

Yes! This film crew is pretty incredible. Their ability to stay hidden and what they do when contestants have to put a video together in stop motion or slow motion or that epic trailer Mel and Hugh made a couple seasons back! It’s nice to see the crew get a shout out.

I ought to thank taskmaster. These full episodes have gotten me through a lot if things. My cat passed 2 months ago, and all that I watched was taskmaster. I remember getting really emotional in class, and the one thing I wanted was to go home and binge taskmaster. It sounds silly, that a silly little show helped me through a difficult time in life but it did, and I forever thank Greg Davies and Alex Horne. Rest in peace little boy

It’s wonderful to watch these back. I’ve been bingeing Taskmaster for about 2 months now and ran out of episodes. So back I went. I forgot how simply brilliant some of these people are.

Plenty of liquid wo water, basically anything water at its melting point, molten iron, liquid nitrogen... even glass if you will are liquid and wo water.

These shows are so fantastic the first time, and even better the second time around. What would I have done, how could I have survived 8 months so far of quarantine? Thank you, so very, very much. It's led to my learning about so many other British comedy shows, and Russell Howard's show, and pantsdrunk with Greg and Russell. OMG!

My guess is either issues with broadcasting rights, or they thought it’d be weird to have a Christmas special uploaded in May. I mean, not that it matters all that much since the past few series has been vaguely touching on the Brexit vote while/after it was happening a few years ago, but the former is probably the most likely

Same! Maybe this December, before they upload Series 9? Series 8 finishes uploading on this channel on Dec 10th, so the Christmas special hitting on Dec 17th and Dec 24th makes sense.

I am American (Texan) and stumbled upon taskmaster clips a few months ago. I binged so many clips before I found that they started posting the full episodes. Now I can't wait for new episodes each week, I love this show and always suggest it to friends!

i started to write a comment about asim's movie, but every time it just sounded wrong: i loved how encouraging asim was with his little guy.... i was touched by asim and his little mustached man...i thought asim was so sweet with his mustached friend...,,, jokes aside, this task was a lovely insight into how wonderful asim's spirit is. everyone who knows him is blessed.

I'm pretty sure that Russell Howard got shut down harder during the prize task than anyone on the show had since Tim Key tried to argue the definition of disappearance. (Only other contender is Lolly Adefope's beanbag.)
