Serious Eats Manila: Wagyu Beef | Stone Grill | Stoned Steaks Quezon City 🥩. Stoned Steaks is a 30 seat casual dining steakhouse opened in 2018 just off the popular Tomas Morato Avenue in Quezon City by entrepreneurial couple Dick and Mars Balajadia. Their concept is serving different cuts of premium U.S. Angus and Australian Wagyu Beef on a 350 degree celsius heated volcanic stone at reasonable prices. If you want to splurge they also have 45 day dry aged Wagyu Ribeye which is aged in their German made Dry Ager Chiller where meat ages on the bone at a constant humidity of around 85 % and a temperature of 2 °C and is even protected from UV light which guarantees a perfect microclimate, an ideal airflow and continuous sterilization. From their graphic and colorful menu we would highly recommend their Australian Grade 4 Wagyu Sirloin which is their best seller.
Take note that they have special 50% discount on Wagyu Beef on
Thursdays and during the weekends All You Can Eat U.S. Angus or Wagyu Beef starting at PHP 2,000 per head.

Nothing beats a nice cut of USDA Rib eye steak with marbling cooked medium rare over an open fire. I tried them all from other countries. Grass fed beef in the U.S. is hard to beat thats cooked right.

once them steak is cooked 2 ur liking take it off the hot stone and let it rest 4 five mins or more ' then meat will v.tender and melty !!! good things come 2 those who wait v.patiently !!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the comment Balochistani! The problem with volcanic stone is it doesn’t retain the 350 degrees celcius temperature consistently throughout the cooking process, thus the second half of the steak had to sit on the stone longer to cook the center. But you are right the best way to cook a steak is to have it rest a few minutes before digging in but that is if it is cooked at a consistent temperature. 😀👍😋

0:29, you said at a reasonable prices, so it can be less than 500php, that is reasonable price, but in 1:00, look at the price, thats 950php and even up, i mean, i dont mind paying with that price for a premium grade ribeye, but was that reasonable for a 950php? now thats reasonable!!!! 1:10, they have 50percent off with some angus beef!!!!!!... tempting, hope in this pandemic they are still open... wanna taste those ribeye

Hi Jess, thanks for the comment its closer to North Edsa vs Greenhills, yes its reasonable but its even better value on Thursdays 50% off on Wagyu and on weekends they have All You Can Wagyu and Angus Steaks! 😀😋

Flip the steak once and try not to cut it until its done. The juices will all flow out. Really they should give you a place to rest it before you cut into it.
