Serious Sam 2 is kinda like a cartoon version of serious sam. The graphics and the bosses. The graphics look like fortnite's. Even the enemies aren't the same as in ss first encounter and ss second encounter. It's kinda like a side story that doesn't have anything to do with the others. The final boss is not even ugh-zan or anything like that. It is a pyramid. Nothing in this game is related to ssfe, se, 3 bfe and 4
You either love this game or you hate it, no inbetween, like the controls and some of the "physics" are dogshit and some enemy designs are trash and are just annoying and overused in some levels and they fling you around like a bouncy ball, but i love the game honestly, its fun especially if you play it with friends and do co op
@@axedav Croeteam used Lightwave 3D and 3D Studio Max during the production of First Encounter/Second Encounter and SS2. They even donated some rigged assets from FE/SE for the sample content of LW. All the texture/normal baking for SS2 was done in LW as well as some elements of skyboxes for FE and SE(most of it was classic Terragen though).
Ah yes, the good old days. It got repetitive after that, although I've heard that this particular game was met somewhat colder than the Encounters. To me, it is still the most played Serious Sam, and it was more enjoyable to go through, even with all the fooling around. Thanks for the nostalgia and your great work!
"You have 5 seconds to explain what I'm doing here. And 2 seconds have just passed..." My most favorite line of any video game character and possibly of any character ever. Just... badass.
l miss Netty.... :x And yea, while Serious Sam 2 was more cartoony, it had no reloading weapons! (aside from shotguns) The one think l dont like about Serious Sam 3 and 4 is that you need to reload some weapons.... in the old days? 999 ammo and keep blazing until the it runs dry
@@skynet225 Everyone has different taste! l like 1st/2nd Encounter, Sam 2 and kinda that's it, BFE and 4 are okay, but it's a bit more on the tactical side : / Like 50 enemies moving towards you, but you need to stop shooting to reload, give us tommy gun with 999 ammo! lol
SS2 - A direct continuation of TSE, however, it's been stated by the devs that it's no longer canon to the main storyline and is merely happens inside of Sam's dream.
Why do villains keep making this mistake... Larry: Hey Jim, where are we gonna put our big laser cannon? I mean, its strong enough to destroy the shield on our planet, so we better put it somewhere safe right? Jim: Where to put it? The moon orbiting our planet of course, somewhere it would be able to easily shoot our planet preferably.
I think you're forgetting this is a game where Sam has to order a boss and asks to leave it on his credit card You're Not really supposed to look too deep into it Let the game do the funny

yeah i also love serious sam 2 even though they made it alot more cartoonish than the gritty first which also was amazing and will never forget it when it first came out and playin it as a kid, i didint e nnjoy 3 much but i didnt get vey far so maybe should try again, 4 is really good too amazing
i always use cheat codes and play with my friends..we just jump and jump killing everything hahahaha..i dont even know what is the mission... ahh memories
27:37 That mf really showed me magic. I was at one frame of seeing him get big. And when he used the spell, I received 3 unskipabble ads that it took 45 seconds💀
i mean this game in the franchise is on drugs and the others are alot more tame but yeah all of games are made to be somewhat "bad" but it makes the game so much better
Can we please just fight mental already? Believe it or not despite the dry humor i feel the charm in this game Ill never understand the bad rewind but either way I find the insane bosses and enemies more interestimg here then in 3 or 4
So.. is nobody going to comment how the Cecil fight scene using huge crossbow looks suspiciously similar to Game of Thrones dragon battle scenes made almost 20 years later?
Here's what I'm interested in. Does everyone remember only ONE function before launching the game? The choice of difficulty! And here, I'm looking now, and there are a lot more parameters. The game itself, of course, is funny, evokes memories when my brother and I played it in turn. Everyone has a boss, a location, and we liked it. Yes, and I like it now, if I look like that
Excuse me... I don't remember 'Serious Sam 2' being this elaborate - all I remember was it SS2 being nearly similar path to 'Quest for the Holy Grail'...
Cecil the Dragon's fight is more similar to the Ender Dragon than Zum zum. Not just Cecils behavior, but also the setting too, taking place on a floating island. But instead of Obsidian Healing-Towers, you get floating islands with ballistas on it.
I remember thinking ok I goth 5th medallion part it was a nice game shame it ended. And then there was whole another chunk of game. Even if it was ~17 years ago I still remember that feeling.
