The first book in the bible, Genesis, provides details about the incredibly long lifespans of individuals from the time when God first created Adam & Eve, to a point many centuries later. Is there any evidence to support believing that this is a true historical account of the human biology of those times? Do the numbers provide clues as to whether they are historical or imaginary, real or fake? This seminar explores several lines of evidence, including from history, theology, genetics and mathematics. The relevant theology or Basil of Caesaria, Martin Luther and John Wesley is touched upon.
Mention is made from: a genetics professor (Professor JC Sanford from Cornel University): a professor of cognitive and brain science from the University of Rochester (Professor Walter Makous). Biological decay curves and genetic entropy are touched upon. Also discussed is a likely reason for the rapid decline in longevity after Noah’s flood?
This seminar also briefly discusses some of the sources of suffering in this world, including cancer.
