I've been freezing my butt off all winter in my Cruzer thinking that it was just too cold for the heater to keep up. Nope, I actually had NO HEAT! Watch to learn what I discovered!

Wow Mark your cruzer is so nice! And bonus cabin heat you didn’t know you had. You and your plane are great representative for Zenith aircraft! Glad you are feeling comfortable flying it, I’m sure the super duty will be a blast.

Hi Mark, thank you again for another great flying video. Great camera work, you just get it and it shows. I appreciate Sebastian Heinz and Roger’s work filming flights but you have a better way of talking with pilots through the cameras and communicating the message. Mike, I recommend the GoPro Max 360 camera, as it captures every angle imaginable and then with free GoPro software it’s easy to grab the angles you want, and get panoramic shots as well. Then I simply mix those shots with traditional GoPro footage.

I just looked at the GoPro website and that definitely is a nice camera. Maybe that's what I'll buy. I need to sell a few more airplane t-shirts and stickers first!

Was just re-watching the video and it got me thinking about the 57° F OAT reading. Have you thought about the OAT temperature probe placement on the Super Duty? So many things can affect the reading compared to OAT. In the cabin is likely to be warmer; anywhere inside the airframe can be affected by paint color choice (darker colors are hotter); heat from the engine; heat rising off the tarmac (edit: when on the ground); being directly in the sun, etc.

You have some good points. I added my OAT probe after the airplane was flying so I was limited on where I could put it. I have it on the bottom on the right side next to the hatch on the bottom. I tried to get it out of the way of the hot exhaust gas, but maybe even the heat from the ground was affecting it on taxi. Or maybe it actually was almost 60 degrees yesterday. I actually was a beautiful day. I saw that the factory has the OAT probe on the side of the fuselage in front of the doors. That seems like a good place. It's definitely out of the exhaust stream. That's where I was thinking of mounting mine.

I mean really if the hose wasn’t hooked up and now it is of course it’s going to make a huge difference. Or is this like the first flight you have ever felt the heat in your plan?

Far be it for me to tell you what to do because I watch all your videos and they are done very we’ll already , but my favorite camera location is the top of the tail facing forward as you can see the takeoff’s and landings really great also I notice many airlines are giving there passengers the same view these days, just say’n :)

I can't mount a camera there on my Cruzer, but on my Super Duty, I did build in camera mounts to the top of the rudder, and also the side of the horizontal stab.

Great Video on the Cruzer Mark. International standard for reporting Nautical or Aviation Speeds are in KNOTS. Most American kit companies report their speed data in MPH to promote that their kit flies much faster. Are you reporting your speeds in the video as MPH or KTS ? Hope my Cruzer goes as fast as yours if you are reporting in Kts me having the same engine and prop as yours.

You should try the yi 4k+ action cam i love mine and I am very picky on what I buy and spec to spec the yi 4k+ beats the go pro and at 1/4 of the price the Sony image sensor kicks gopro's butt except in the transition from inside to outside or from a dark to light or light to dark it takes a sec or two to re auto white balance but the image stability is amazing id say comparable to gopro's if not the exact same

Because it's an exhaust heat exchanger it'll give warm air very quickly , the prop should blow the air in so just sitting on the tarmac it should warm up really well and quite quickly. Not like a car where it's the coolant that provides the warmth. But that hose does need to be connected..lol

Over head panel buffeting. Looking into VGs. A guy said he put VGs on his got rid of buffeting. I was wondering if you could test your airspeeds once you have your strunt fairing in place. Thanks! Gary US Jones, MSgt Retired USAF

The overhead window really doesn't buffet. It looks 100 times worse in the camera than when sitting in the plane. Same with the bottom wing skin-watch on some of the videos and it looks like it's befitting like crazy, but it's not. The strut fairings will give no noticeable increase in airspeed. They are 99.9% just for looks.

You now need to retest the heat in July to ensure that you can shut it completely off

You mentioned the lack of heat in the last video,,, you also mentioned air leaks in the cabin while pointing towards the upper left front widow wing root area sort of,,,,, . Where is your OCD when you really need it? KJZI

Well the heat I fixed. The blue masking tape on the window corners is blocking the leak. I was suppose to make fiberglass fairings for the top of the window but then I started building the Super Duty and forgot about the Cruzer!

which engine / horsepower and prop do you run ?

Martin, I'm running the UL Power 350iS which is 130hp at 3300 rpm. I have the Whirlwind prop which I'm really happy with. I can't remember the diameter off hand though but I think it's 68". All a great combo for this airplane.
